Roland JP8000

Supersaw is not the whole life, I think. I'm using multisaw.

JP8080. but not only supersaw.

Even fruity loops can do the "kiksu" sound..
no need to get one. ;)

Can't see any reason whatsoever for anybody to buy an JP8000, if you have an option for JP8080.

It has some tricks up its sleeve, most people dont know of.. That extra filtering it's capable of, well it can be applied to its own sounds. And thats really not an small issue at all, in fact it makes it quite an beast for certain type of sounds!

Not to mention that you dont necessarily have to use it's inputs just for vocoding (which by the way is fantastic), you can use JP8080 as an effect box. 8080's effects include simply the best ever kiksu-chorus i have ever heard. Together with good delay options, it will turn any lead or other sound into something quite massive. You really have to hear it to believe it.

Also, as far as to my knowledge (if you have 100% right information, please feel free to correct me on this one), JP8000 has half the patches & presets AND less effects & polyphony.

I have an JP8080, and i dont think that will be enough for me Someday money will not be an issue -> i will be a proud owner of two JP8080's

Yeah, i guess its not that bad with 8 voices "only"

Afterall, usually the sound is fat enough with only one voice!!

True! And when polyphony runs out, I can always record most of the sounds to my sampler. Doesn't work with "kiksu" leads etc. though..

JP8000 with 6100mk (about 1016eur) was a sweet deal, imo.

Polyphony is unlimited if you want.
Why to play everything "live" when you can sample
those 8 simultaneous voices to harddisk with Logic 5 and play
another 8 voices

Saakos jp8000:a tai jp8080:aa enää mistään uutena? Muistaakseni jotkut ulkomaiset liikkeet möivät vielä jonkin aikaa sitten jossain ihan uutenakin. Olenkohan väärässä? Mielestäni tuotanto on kyllä lopetettu jo aikaa sitten. Lähinnä kiinnostais toi 8080-malli. Missähän hinnassa se käytettynä nykyään liikkuu?

Mäkin luulin että ne on loppu tältä planeetalta. Rolandin suomen edustaja sano noin vuos sitten että sen valmistus oli lopetettu jokun aika sitten, eli noin 1.5 - 2v sitten ja jotkut isommat lafkat oli hommannu isommat erät viimoisia, mutta että nekin olis jo loppu??? Ei ainakaan jokapojan kaikkea myyvästä Thomannista oo saanu aikaan...

Ja vielä tosta MIDI LFO synkasta. Päivitys 1.05 versioon tuntui korjaavan ton ongelman, mutta jos samaan aikaa syöttää kontrollidataa JP:lle niin synkka menee ihan päin anusta. Mahtaako tuo olla "dokumentoimaton fiitseri" :eek:
