LASERPOINT 2005 Back to the roots
Cablefactory (Merikaapelihalli), Helsinki
16.04.2005.
It is time for the annual Laserpoint event. This time we bring it to you bigger, better and in the place it all started, in a place it does belong - Cable factory, Helsinki. The huge main area will be packed up with lasers - as the main idea of the event is to show you the power and visuality of these gorgeous light effects.
Not to mention about the sound system, which will be trimmed up to the top, not to break your ears, but to ensure the dynamic feeling of electronic music can give. What? Not enough? Ok. Let's talk about the line-up.
We will bring you the long awaited return of Matt Hardwick and if that alone doesn't convince you, we draw the ace from the card deck, M.I.K.E aka PUSH aka Plastic Boy aka...
And let's not forget our domestic superstars; Proteus, Orkidea, Darude...
The event is produced with professional crew with vast experience of event producing. Everything, starting from logistics, to the cloack room, to the soundsystem, to the toilet facilities are to be taken care of. So remember, you are in professional hands.
The lineup >>
M.I.K.E aka PUSH (Armind, Bonzai, Belgium) http://www.mike.be
Mike is releasing under several project names such as Solar Factor, Plastic Boy, Return of the Native, The Blackmaster and of course PUSH. His DJing style is very similar to the music he makes, on a hard-edged tech-progressive trance tip. M.I.K.E is at the forefront of Europe's new sound, regularly topping charts in several leading countries.
M.I.K.E's reputation shot through the roof, and although a commercial crossover had never been anticipated, in 1998 'Universal Nation' by Push took the world by storm, winning several dance awards, and undoubtedly being recognized as one of the classic records of the trance era. Laserpoint 2005 will be Mike's debut in Finland.
(voted #62 on the DJ Mag Top 100, 2004)
MATT HARDWICK (Gatecrasher, Anjunabeats, UK)
Matt Hardwick's past has been well documented. His strong association and influence on the global phenomenon that is Gatecrasher is something with which we are all too familiar. Matt has now become a truly global DJ, playing the four corners of the earth and has developed a strong fan base. In the year 2004 Matt has enjoyed successful tours throughout the USA and South America, Asia and throughout Europe- with tours in Africa and Australia. This is not forgetting his commitments in the UK where Matt is regularly playing for the best organisations in UK clubbing- including Cream, Slinky, The Gallery, Serious and of course Gatecrasher. Matt has visited Finland three times before and has never left a unpleased crowd behind. Twice he has presented his skills as a part of the Gatecrasher tour at the Cable Factory and the last time that we were priviledged to witness his appearance was in the Labyrinth Summer Sound System in the year 2001.
