I bet that has quite a bit to do with the fact that last year's Pacifique was the first Waterpark-based event that most people had an opportunity to attend. There is a finnish saying "aikaa kultaa muistot" which roughly translates into "time gives things a golden coating." In many occasions it's just isn't possible to beat that feeling of doing something for the first time ever even if objectively looking the second time would be better.

Remember the amount of drunks crashing near the wateredge and the amount of aphetamine brained idiots making half the place unsafe to even just stand. Sorry mon where were you? I was jostled and pushed around in the crowd. Last year if someone brushed you they'd turn and apologise. No such politeness or decent behviour his year.

At the end in the main pool there were some nice songs. But the just have fun feeling was missing. The crowd seemed a lot more selfinvolved, almost degenerated. But then again who am I to judge.

I did have a few very nice moments in the cave areas. Especially around 23.30 to 1.00 was the best point of the evening. And the only part of the evening I would dare call the equal of last years mood and intensity.

I have to agree with you on this one - there were a whole lot of people whose behaviour was somewhat annoying, reckless and/or inconsiderate. Still, having said this I must admit I was one of them last year (I may not have been inconsiderate, but I was drunk as hell - as you propably remember) and this year I was more aware of these people mostly because I personally took only a couple of beers + one Jägermeister-Redbull.

I actually tried to avoid the crowd as much as possible most of the time and was pretty successful with it. The only times I had some trouble with people pushing and shoving were the ones I felt an urge to smoke a cigarette and get a drink from the bar.

Unfortunately this is a problem that involves the whole "scene" and not only this particular event. In a year things have changed quite a bit - more and more people are becoming aware of these events and the "social codes" that used to live among clubbers haven't been passed on to the new generation all that well. There is more and more of this "the rules don't apply to me"-attitude, which is really a shame.

Still, after all this I have to say I had a blast at Serena. Even having to remind some people of the rules during the evening didn't ruin my good mood and even though I can hardly swim I had a great time using the slides, the tubes and other facilities while listening to the tunes delivered by the DJ's.

Next year (I'm counting on a new Pacifique already...) I'll take photos of whatever ill behaviour I witness. Seeing yourself (and being aware that other people see the same photos also) smoking on the poolside, wearing shoes in the pool area, swimming with a pair of jeans on, drinking your own drinks or taking drinks from the bar area to the pool area, shagging in the pools or whatever is propably the ultimate punishment anyway.

Meno oli kerrassaan mahtava, Oulusta asti tultiin ja Ouluun hengissä palanneena voisin sanoa että oli ehdottomasti kannattava reissu oli. Oulu oli ilahduttavan hyvin edustettuna tuolla. Ensi vuonna uudestaan!

Villistä virrasta saa mustelmia kun juoksee poikittain sen "yli" ja tipahtaa pannut naamalleen sinne pohjalle koska on niin uivelo ettei osaa katsoa eteensä hauskaa pitäessään... mut hauskaa oli eikä toi villivirta kämmi muuta kuin naurattanut tapahtuessaan vaikka sivustakatsojat olikin sitä mieltä että oli pahan näköistä *muhaha*

Oli kyl vikatikki ettei alussa tajunnut pitää rahoja ittellään. Sai sitten olla janoisen siihen asti kun rahakirstun vartija löytyi. Muuten oli kyl loistobileet.
