"This was where it all started. We were working in the same studio, but in different rooms and releasing music on the same label, Anjunabeats. So we thought why not to try to do a collabration. First Aid showed us a direction what Super8 & Tab sound was going to be: uplifting, melodic and still driving."

SUPER8 & TAB - NEEDS TO FEEL (Wippenberg remix)

"We had Ben Lost in studio doing vocals for Won´t Sleep Tonight and after we had finished recordings he asked if there's anything else. We played him a demo version of Needs To Feel and he felt it right away. It was ten minutes later we had written and recorded Ben's vocals for the track. Later we got a demo version of remix from Wippenberg and we were blown away. Needs To Feel spent 10 weeks in Beatport's Progressive House Chart Top10 and Paul Van Dyk is still playing it every now and then and it still sounds really fresh."

SUPER8 & TAB - DELUSION

"After releasing Elektra we were playing around with ideas and suddenly had this riff in our hands. It took us some time to figure out which style would be most suitable for it. Because of the previous release, Elektra, we ended up doing something a bit faster. The track was already finished, but we felt something was still missing. Alyna did the choir harmonies for Elektra so we thought we should bring her in again. Because the track was almost finished there wasn't too much room left for full vocals, but all the bits and pieces we used lifted Delusion to a new level.
The leftovers of the vocals were later used as an inspiration for one of the tracks on Empire album."

"As many of our tracks, Suru also starts with the main riff. The track was written in the middle of the night in January, the coldest month of the year. It's really emotional and to make it more unique and groovier we gave it a bit of shuffle treatment. Probably that's why it can stand the test of time and people seem to like it a lot as we still get requests to play it almost on every gig."

- Evidently ‘Suru’ is one of, if not the tent-pole release of Anjunabeats’ summer. Already a big forum star (thanks to the ‘Anjuna Vol 5’ album), the authentic beauty of the original’s harmonies, strings and whopping lead-line is beyond question.

"After releasing several club tracks we decided to give a try to do Super8 & Tab artist album. We never thought it would as long and hard project as it turned out to be but we are really happy with the result.

Rather than just aiming for the dancefloor, we’ve tried to create an album that will work in a range of situations and draw on many different emotions. And hopefully one that will last for many years.

For us, the exciting thing was that this project allowed us to push ourselves as artists and try things we had never done before.
The product of our years working together, ‘Empire’ also sees us move into proper songs for the first time - as well as some more downtempo arrangement. Working with Jan Burton was an inspiring experience.  Betsie Larkin, Julie Thompson and Alyna also feature across the album and each one adds their own individual vocal style to our sound.

Whatever track we were working on, we tried to stay true to the values that have always driven us - strong arrangements, emotional music, a warm sound and quality production."

EMPIRE ALBUM LAUNCH EVENT - The Gallery, Ministry of Sound, London, UK

"We have been playing at The Gallery now every two-three months for the past 3 years.

This time we were celebrating the release of our debut artist album "Empire" with an official launch party at Ministry of Sound, London held on September 24th.

Kyau & Albert, Stoneface & Terminal and W&W shared the main room with us making the event easily the best one so far!

Before our 90min headline set we had a chance to meet our fans from all over the world while we signed copies of our album with Alyna and Julie Thompson. During the set we played several tracks from the album and tested club mixes like 'Perfect Day' and 'My Enemy'.

Next album launch will be in Moscow and some weeks after in our home town Helsinki. It's been over 6 months since we played in Finland last time so we are really looking forward to this one!"
