DEEKLINE (BOOTY BOUNCERS, RAT RECORDS, UK)
DEEKLINE AND THE WIZARD are the hottest production team to rock the dance scene in years and although their backgrounds are probably as diverse as you can get this has seen a formidable and unique style coming through. Their music style draws on electro, the UK garage scenes, the UK bass scenes, Miami bass, hip-hop and breakbeat.
They have already captured interest from dance heavyweights notably MJ Cole, The Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs and Artful Dodger to name but a few with their initial release "4x4x4" and the "Ill Street/Truth You" EP.
July saw the release of the duo's first album, "Breaks, Beats and Blondes". The album, rightly so, has been a huge success being played on every worthwhile DJ's play list and clubbers alike.
"Fresh, funky and fun-loving, Breaks Beats & Blondes is an album that does that rare thing of maintaining street cred while appealing to ears that only bass and beats would never reach." Album of month June issue 5/5 IDJ.
2005 sees Deekline & Wizard set for massive exposure following the release of one of the club anthems of the summer namely the remix of Armand Van Helden's track "My, My, My".
DEEKLINE
If ever there was a two-step tune to hit the dance floors with such immense success "Don't Smoke (Da Reefer)" became a household hit with its bass heavy, two stepping monster of a record with the catchiest vocal line ever. Deekline produced this ground breaking hit with the newly formed Rat Records which has gone on to be the imprint for all big breaks and booty bass lines.
Deekline, aka Nick Annand, has since well and truly earned his reputation in the dance scene having worked with legends like Arthur Baker, Rennie Pilgrem, Donna Dee and Freq Nasty. This reputation is fully impounded with chart successes namely "Want You More" and commissioned remixes such as "Got Your Money".
Deekline is also known for shaking up the whole nu-skool scene and twisting out the fattest of bass lines wherever he is playing including the legendary club night Breakbeat Connection.
The duo is currently putting the finishing touches to their second album due out late 2005.

Muffler is Konsta Mikkonen, originally from Finland, now living in London. Still only 23 years old he has certainly had a busy and successful career for such young bloke. With a host of releases on UK labels, Muffler has certainly made an impact. Previous releases on Urban Takeover were accepted worldwide by both clubbers and DJ's and his CD album on Urban Takeover "Soundz Of The Future" has got a warm welcome too. Also his mix cd, which consists only of his own tracks for Knowledge magazine (april 2004 issue) got him some well deserved attention
Muffler has releases forthcoming and out on labels such as Moving Shadow, TOV, Hospital, DSCI4, Invader, Cell, Frequency, Formation, Outbreak, Disturbed..
Together with Paul Rae he is also running a record label called SighCo Recordings,

HUORATRON (SoundsLikeSuomi)
Huoratron is a musical project of one man, Aku Raski, a Helsinki-based composer, producer and artist, active in the Helsinki music scene. A recent compilation by Dutch record label Bunker records "Sound of Suomi - the electro sound of Finland" included songs from Huoratron, Alpha Males and Nu Science, all different projects of mr. Raski.
Huoratron's key instruments are two hand-held Nintendo Gameboy consoles. The consoles are modified so that they can create more distorted, rough sounds and heavy bass - not the usual feature of Nintendo Gameboys. Using these nearly obsolete pieces of 80's gaming technology, and turning them into full-fledged electronic music composing tools, is the main ingredient behind Huoratron's unique raw sound.
Huoratron encapsulates what is valued in electronic music and electronic live shows; a highly intensive performance consisting of massive explosion of visuals and experimental arcade game soundscapes.
Huoratron has enjoyed keen interest from the media and has been widely noticed in numerous publications, both in Finland and abroad. Recently Raski has been busy touring around the world with his live show; multiple tours in USA, Russia, Sweden, Norway and Estonia have built Huoratron's reputation as one of the most intense live shows in Europe.

ITCH on Jyväskylässä Blaze-ravintolan puitteissa kesästä 2005 asti
epäsäännöllisesti järjestetty turntablism- ja scratch-DJ -kulttuureihin
keskittyvä klubi.
Illat ovat saaneet osan Suomen taitavimmista turntablisteista ja
raapijoista neljän levysoittimen ja kahden mikserin ääreen soittamaan mitä
mielenkiintoisimpia levyjä häikäisevällä tekniikalla ja
ennennäkemättömällä mielikuvituksella loistavin lopputuloksin.
Musiikki ITCH-illoissa on vaihdellut varsin laajasti mustan tanssimusiikin
saralla keskittyen kuitenkin eniten Hip Hop -kulttuurin piirissä
soitettavaan materiaaliin. Äänimaailma on ollut selkeästi valtavirrasta
poikkeavaa, mutta kuitenkin usein varsin tanssittavaa ja vähintäänkin
mielenkiintoista. Iltoihin ovat myös oleellisesti kuuluneet
LIVE-turntablism -esitykset, joissa DJ:t ovat luoneet uutta musiikkia
levysoittimilla inspiroiden.
Kaiken kaikkiaan ITCH on ainutlaatuinen konsepti Suomessa ja herättänyt
