Alexi Delano dwells in the perfect balance between shiny minimalism and dark vivacious techno. With more than three decades on stage, he has been able to combine different roots and facets of the contemporary music scale.
Hailing from Chile, raised in Sweden, and ultimately embraced by New York, Alexi became an integral part of Sweden’s mid-’90s electronic music movement alongside luminaries like Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Jesper Dahlbäck, and Joel Mull.
Moving from Scandinavia to New York influenced him to combine the heavy compressed Swedish sound with the vibrancy of the creative music scene of Brooklyn. Throughout his journey in the music realm, Alexi has not only graced festivals and esteemed clubs worldwide but also been nominated for The Swedish Music Award “P3 Guld,” an alternate to the Swedish Grammy.
He has crafted six albums, unveiling countless records through acclaimed imprints like the historic SVEK, Drumcode, Plus 8, M_us, Visionquest, Spectral Sound, Hybrid Productions, Rebellion, Get Physical, and more.
With a production and DJ style that dances between the realms of house and techno, he is consistently able to re-invent himself with each new release.
Today, Alexi immerses himself in projects that span the globe, from Santiago de Chile to New York, Toronto, Barcelona, Stockholm and now in Vaasa. With his third solo album on the horizon and the revival of his record label AD Limited, he remains unwaveringly committed to his craft.
