Stand up - seisovaa huumoria - ja muut komiikan muodot

Seuraava postaus menee jo sen verran ohi aiheen, että päätin perustaa aiheelle oman topicin. Kunnollinen pohjustus aiheelle viestin jälkeen, joten kärsimättömät voivat hypätä suoraan seuraavan yli.

Well let me ask you this: If everything that ever lived is dead, and everything alive is going to die, where does the sacred part come in? I’m having trouble with that. ‘cause I mean even with this stuff we preach about the sanctity of life, we don’t practice it. We don’t practice it. Look at what we kill: mosquitos and flies, ‘ ‘cause they’re pests!’, lions and tigers, ‘ ‘cause it’s fun!’, chickens and pigs, ‘ ‘cause we’re hungry!’, phasans and quails, ‘ ‘cause it’s fun – and we’re hungry!’, and people! We kill people, ‘ cause they’re PESTS – and it’s FUN!’. And you might’ve noticed something else: the sanctity of life doesn’t seem to apply to cancer cells, does it. You rarely see a bumper sticker that says ‘Save the tumors’… or ‘I brake for advanced melanoma’. No. Viruses, mold, mildue, maggots, fungus, weed, ecolie bacteria, the crabs – nothing sacred about those things. So at best, the sanctity of life is kind of a selective thing. Tiedän sisimmässäni, että klubituskansasta löytyy hyvän, huonon ja brittiläisen huumorin ystäviä. Tämä topic on teille, jotka haluatte jakaa ja saada tietoa parhaista stand up koomikoista, Monty Pythoneiden klassisimmista jaksoista ja The Fast Shown ikimuistoisimmista sketseistä. Vinkkejä huumorikirjallisuuden ja hauskan teatteritaiteen alalta ei myöskään katsosta pitkin nenänvartta, joten jos olet löytänyt elämääsi hymyä ja naurua, niin täällä siitä voi keskustella.

Haluaisin näin aluksi erikseen ilmaista tukeni kahdelle pienimuotoiselle komiikan osa-alueelle: Suomessa lähinnä boheemiksi trendi-ilmiöksi jääneen stand up-komiikan ja opiskelijoiden speksit. Jälkimmäisen suhteen on kokemusta vain lääkiksen (vallan mainioista) spekseistä, mutta stand up:ia on tullut vähäisessä määrin seurattua niin läheltä kuin kaukaakin ja kaikilla kolmella kotimaisella puhuttuna. Suosittelen tutustumaan kotikaupunkinne stand up tarjontaan ja ainakin Robin Williamsin ja Brian Reganin setteihin. Lähiseutunne spekseistä kuulee yleensä kevään tienoilla paikkakuntanne opiskelijoilta. Älkää antako naurun kuolla.

Edit: Noin vuosi sitten pistin pystyyn ryhmiksen, jossa sovittiin ekskursioista Helsingin stand up-skeneen. Käytännössä kävimme vain muutaman kerran pienellä porukalla We Got Beef:ssä kuuntelemassa Comedy Kitcheniä, mutta kukin reissu oli kokemisen arvoinen. Ryhmis on jo pidemmän aikaa ollut varsin kuollut, mutta suosittelen ihmisiä aloittamaan vastaavia projekteja, jos vähänkään tekee mieli nauraa seurassa. Voin myös lisätä ihmisiä kyseiseen ryhmikseen, jos joku haluaa yrittää hönkiä elämää siihen sillä aikaa, kun itse patsastelen Tukholmassa. Ei tällä erää muuta, loppu.
