HUGO CAPABLANCA is one of the most requested Berliner dj's of the last moment.
Resident dj of the legendary Rio Club Berlin, until its closing party, he managed in only 2 years to play every single hip club in the city and later around the world sharing dj booth and scenarios with the most exciting artists of the moment and some everlasting legends like Arthur Baker, Justice, Headman, Rub n Tug, Klaxons, Joakim, WhoMadeWho...
His dj sets are always different and quite unpredictable, a tastefully eclectic selection of various styles with a predilection for vintage sounds.
Hugo runs his own record label, Discos Capablanca, and the first release on the label, Grackle´s "Jungle" already charted top selling positions and gained international acclaim being massively suported by key figures like Optimo and Traxx. Cosmic Dub, Tropicalia, Psychedelic sounds, Disco, Chicago House... are only a few of the elements that recombined influence and conform the Capablanca records sound, all wrapped up with a Teutonic motorik twist.
