"Kultakauden" ideoita modernilla tuotantotekniikalla :)

Saa toki olla eri mieltä, nä on vaan mun mielikuvia. Ekat biisit on aika deeppiä housea mutta ei niissä miksauksissakaan heti lähdetty paahtamaan täysillä :)

I've happily noticed that the ideas and sounds of the 90's epic/progressive house are slowly returning to the modern house and techno music. I started to compile this mix around the stunning remixes by Motorcitysoul and Jay Tripwire, and I knew I'd have to include Henry Saiz's last years epic Symptoms of a Stranger remix to this mix as well. Spooky's last years remix of evergreen Little Bullet works like a charm, and Pako & Frederik's new version of We Are Connected, which by the way got way too little attention back in the days, has a good amount of 90's-esque trancier progressive sounds in it.

Chab's "Five" from 2004 has classic progressive written all over it from the structure to the sounds and melodies. D Dub's Remix of Pure has a sublime breakdown and those darker progressive grooves from the turn of the century, which I absolutely love. Besides having the most epic track name in this year so far, The Passion of Zorro by Omid 16B works as a nice link to the three hands in the air-tracks in the end. The first three tracks are more or less deep house, but then again the mixes back in the days didn't always start with bangers either :p

I tried to create authentic atmosphere by letting the tracks finish till the end and by building the set slowly. Let me know what you think if you gave a listen, these are just my opinions, you may disagree that this isn't epic house at all!
chill, deep, house, progressive, trance
