Tricky D ... bassline provider

Tricky D has been a breakbeat ambassador since the early 90's and is one of Berlin's first
underground Jungle DJs and Activists. He got involved in Berlin's cult underground club
"In Eimer" and met up with Mez. They became members of the first German live Jungle
bandElektronauten. The following years were filled with touring, djing, studio work and
releasing music under different names together with General Elektrick and friends.

In 2001 he opened the Tricky Tunes Record Store. In 2002, he spent some time in
Jamaica, where he and Mez did recording sessions with local vocalists, and decided to
start their own record label: Tricky Tunes.

Their releases have featured many international vocal talents such as Daddy Freddy,
Labrador and Lyrical Banton. They continue to build up their network of underground
producers, and are still keeping vinyl alive and spreading the vibe across the place.

In 2004, he met up with RCola and began to sell JungleX's N.American Ragga-jungle
vinyl catalogue. In 2008 they formally joined forces and now work together to help
keep the jungle fires burning across the globe. Tricky Tunes is home to JungleX's
distribution in Europe, giving the massive better access to their vinyl releases.
