JACK. FIFTH ANNIVERSARY. PARTY.

"In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
Let there be HOUSE!
and house music was born."

Five years of Jackin' !!

It's been five years since Jack started in the cosy surroundings of
Kerma as a weekly Friday house party. Since then we've lost
ourselves in music at Rosegarden and found groove in our hearts at
Kuudes Linja while in 2009 Helsinki will be jackin' at Redrum
every two months.

Jack's mission is to bring you fresh and underground house in it's all forms
whether it's tech, electro, filter, vocal, tribal or progressive. On Friday 12th
of December we'll celebrate these five hedonistic years with a birthday
P.A.R.T.Y.

Star of the anniversary event is a true legend - Jody Wisternoff of Way
Out West
. He is responsible for progressive house classics like Ajare,
Domination, Mindcircus, Killa
and Cold Drink, Hot Girl and is still
one of electronic music scene's most vibrant stars. Today his sound is a
sophicticated yet rocking mix of various forms of house and we're honoured
to have him here.

Other jackmasters of the night are the original residents Lil' Tony and
Orkidea with lights by Severi from Unity. To celebrate these
five years and the last event in Kuudes Linja we'll have special drinks,
snacks & vibes served from 22 till 23. There are no advance tickets so we
recommend to arrive early to ensure jackin' at this rave!

Jody Wisternoff is best known as one half of Bristol progressive house legends Way Out West and as a producer of dance music spanning early 90s hardcore to slick electro house.

However Wisternoff became increasingly tired of the aggressive nature of the hardcore scene and a meeting with fellow DJ Nick Warren in a Bristol record shop saw the birth of the progressive house act Way Out West. Fusing the dub sounds of Bristol with club beats the duo had huge success in the mid to late 90s with tracks like "The Gift" and "Ajare".

Recently Jody has been producing 80's inspired electro house, with tracks like "Cold Drink, Hot Girl" and "Nostalgia" setting him apart from the competition.

Recently, Jody was writing on his tinnitus experience:
"When the tinnitus was at its worst, it seemed so loud that nothing would mask it. Combined with an extreme lack of sleep, it was as if I could hear an electrical storm in my brain constantly, and it was even making my gums vibrate."
