MAKU L [Bassaddicts / Club Cinderella / Chivas Regal Asia]
BIOGRAPHY
Maku L was born in the early 80s in Finland. His love for dance music started when he was around 10 years old as he would try making his own "mixtapes" with a cassette player. When he was 12, Maku would sneak in and play at small discos with recorded music from the radio onto cassettes and try to connect pop/dance music together to do basic bar "mixing".
Now grown up and having over 10 professional years of DJ experience in international party circles like Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand and China; Maku has been able to play alongside the world's best DJ's such as Paul Van Dyk, ATB, Thrillseekers, Lange, Darude, Axwell, Mauro Picotto, D-Formation, Westbam, Sven Väth, Marusha, Warp Brothers, just to name a few.
His uplifting DJ sets give Maku L a well known reputation for rocking parties and filling clubs to maximum capacity around the world by playing electro house sets with progressive house and breakbeat tracks to spice things up. What also makes him unique is his ability to command the dance floor with his great mixing skills, amazing programming, and the knowledge to read crowds by mixing the right tracks at the right time.
In 2003, Maku L and a few of his DJ friends found a party organization called "FED", which grew fast one of the biggest party organizations in Finland. Many of his parties like Back to the 90's, Back to the Future, Electroshock '06 and '07 gained massive success. Even famous international companies like Microsoft, Nokia, Levi's, etc have began to notice the rising success of Maku L and inquired about his services in their promotion events.
From 2005 - 2007, The momentum never stopped as Maku L was the main resident DJ for Chivas as they toured throughout the main cities of Asia packing clubs. In 2007, Maku L took a break from Chivas parties, and held a residency at one of the hottest clubs in China, Club Cinderella in Jinan, filling clubs and warming up headliners every weekend. In that same year, he was voted by Megamind.se as one of the TOP 10 "Most Popular Nordic DJ's".
Now in 2008, Maku L and his friend CiD INC started producing music together under the alias "Bassaddicts". Bassiaddicts first EP "The Time Is Right" will be released by Italian house label Oryx Music in 01.05.2008. EP includes two tracks "The Time Is Right" and "Touch Down". Only time will show what the future will bring Maku L...
