Dj Mike G - January 2007 overview

Michael Gall aka Dj Mike G started DJing after moving from Hamburg to Berlin in
1984. In a short time he progressed from playing in small bars and clubs to holding
down a 5 year long residency at the then legendary Berlin hotspot 90°, thereafter
moving on to similar successes at leading clubs in Hong Kong and Bali, as well as a
long term residency at Scandinavia's most popular VIP terrace.

In the 1990's Dj Mike G had two homes, one in Berlin and the other in Marbella,
Spain. Likewise his Dj career consisted of residencies in the most elegant and well
known clubs in Spain, including Pepe Moreno, Orlando, Joe's Bar and News Café, at
the same time as his regular throw downs in Berlin at the Lucky Strike Club. His by
now finely tuned skills and intuitive feeling for a crowd rocking mix landed him regular
gigs at all the contemporary "in crowd" hangouts such as Delicious Doughnuts,
Boogaloo and Toaster. In Spain he was playing as a guest-DJ in Marbella and
Madrid as well as on Ibiza in clubs such as Café del Mar, Joe's Bar, Pacha, Oh
Marbella, Deep and Havana Club. During this time he was also invited to play on
numerous radio-shows, for example Kiss FM and Fritz in Berlin.

Mikes new millennium kicked of in fine style, and in Finland, where in Oulu his "Safe
Dj " status soon got him onboard for the renowned H.A.N.D Productions parties, und
subsequent residencies in the then leading clubs of the day, Giggling Marling, Night
and 45 Special. Not surprisingly as his reputation spread, the Capital was soon
calling, and the next two years Mike held down a high status residency in the Teatteri
VIP terrace ( Scandinavia's most highly regarded and internationally famous meeting
place for prime movers and global players ) as well as guesting in the former cult-
status Kerma Club, and on the essential Kinyobi events.

One thing led to another and Mike moved on to Asia, with A list bookings and
residencies in Hong Kong's world famous Drop Club, and at leading venues in Bali,
before returning to Berlin in 2006. With his usual panache, and insistence upon the
highest standards being the standard, in a very short space of time Mike notched up
a residency at Berlins legendary Spindler&Klatt ( no messing around , straight in at
the top after 15 years globe trotting ) where he has brought his first class big room
sensibilities ( and lets be honest, not every Dj has those! ) to the prestigious New
Years Eve event ( 06/07 ) , the "Una Notte Divina" party series, and the seasonal "not
to be missed" summer terrace opening, as well as to the just launched "Pure House"
nights.

Dj Mike G's summer schedule includes being the main resident at Marbella's Club
Tibu where he spins on high profile line ups such as Ministry of Sound and Miss
Money penny's Club nights - alongside the "big names".

MUSIC
Mike's style is wide ranging, from the finest smooth seductive electronic lounge via
insistent and irresistible funky beats to a finely honed and high precision fusion of
progressive and tribal house music that brings the big room audience together, out
on the floor where they should be, voices and hands raised , and having it. The man
knows no compromise, and has no time for pretenders or dilettantes. If you've got it,
flaunt it, if you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
His musical tastes have been strongly influenced by German and Spanish nightlife as
well as global clubbing culture. This can be seen in the flavour and flare of his music:
Urban night time Funk and Soul wrapped in "Tuff Enough" Metropolitan Beats fired
up with some Hot Spanish flair. Watch out for the fruits of his new studio project which goes into production in 007!
A license to ... get this party started!!!
