KALLE KARVANEN is best known for his electro sets as a dj. History goes back to year 1997 when he started experimenting with sounds and creating own tracks after several years of listening electronic music and attending to parties. The next year it was time to move on and concentrate to DJing. Since these days he has played all over Finland as a dj, his mixes has been played on national radio and probably the biggest recognition for him was to be selected to RED BULL MUSIC ACADEMY 2001, which was held in New York City.
In playing records Kalle isn't stuck to one particular style. He takes influences and plays many different genres such as electro, techno, italo, house, acid and acid house, not forgetting his past in hiphop and big beat. Although there might be one or many different genres involved in his sets Kalle tries to keep things interesting and focused without forgetting his favourite style of music, electro.
Kalle is also a part of a liveact called TECHNICAL DIRECTORS, which idea is to play 110% live sets with vintage gear and create every sound in front of the live audience, mostly with legendary Roland x0x-series drum machines and synthesizers. He's also an active member of Finland's oldest techno organization, THE X-RUST ORGANIZATION, which throws parties and releases their members music on vinyl. Besides all of this Kalle is producing own material and running his own electro label called X0X RECORDS.
