Biography:
This now matured and talented DJ started his DJ career at the young age of 16 and soon became a familiar face in the Finnish clubbing scene. His passion to DJ excelled and with that came the need for promotorship! The organisation of club nights in Helsinki, Lahti, Kouvola, Porvoo and Hanko made Pecu's name even more prolific in Finland.
Pecu' s guest spots include former Hype Club in Helsinki, Code Red in Turku, Labyrinth SSS in Rauma and Drama in Helsinki. His different approach to blending tribal/progressive beats and dark, twisted house has made him one of the most crowd-pleasing DJs in Finland!
However, his enthusiasm didn't just end at Finnish nightspots. With his sights set high, he saw himself taken to UK and Ibiza to DJ in the blistering sunshine! With many contacts being made, Pecu began to work closely with the management of UK Superclub and established record label "Slinky", located in Bournemouth, UK (www.slinky.co.uk)
In partnership with these promoters, Pecu hosted Slinky's "Inter-continental World Tour" in Helsinki during January 2001. This was one of the top events of that year and saw Pecu behind the turntables playing alongside Slinky Resident: 'Tim Lyall' and 'Jimpy' (Enter The Dragon, UK).
In 2002 Pecu completed his annual Ibiza residency holding guest spots @ Slinky, Rey De Copas and Es Paradis. During his one month tour Pecu warmed things up for the likes of 'John Kelly', 'Rob Tissera', 'Dave Lea', 'Lisa Lashes', 'Pete Wardman', 'Anne Savage', 'James Holden' and 'Garry White', plus a chance to play alongside legendary Ibiza 'DJ Giovanni' at Es Paradis's famous 'Fiesta Del Agua' (The Water Party).
The latter part of 2002 brought the opening night of "Club Quality". Pecu was the founder, promoter & weekly resident at Club Quality held in System Bar, Helsinki, with both Simon London and Unik taken on board as monthly residents. These weekly nighteries brought the best of the Finnish based DJ's to play! Guests included: Lucy Luke & Cinnamon, JussiS, Unicorn, Klabi, Progression, George Shield, Mr T, DJ Vertigo, Seb, Homegrove, Aslak & Jay Lamar, Nikita, Sacharias, OlliS. and Defa.
In May 2003, after unfortunate incidents beyond Pecu's control, he decided to terminate his nights at System Bar and close his brainchild legacy: Club Quality. Since that period Pecu has been guesting around Finnish nightspots. However, with fresh ideas and a newly formed organisation, expect the return of this experienced and talented DJ.
