Freza (Anatoly Betskov) is a 25 year old producer, born in Kharkov, Ukraine, but living in Moscow since the age of 2. When he was 8 years old he got into a music school to learn piano and later on started producing his own dance music at the age of 15. First it was trance, house, disco, jungle and techno. After graduating from the music school in 1998 he got into the Moscow University of Electronics and Mathematics. Right about the same time he switched his approach to music production to a more professional one and started making originals and remixes for Russian and some German pop-projects (Yuriy Shatunov, Reflex, Litsey, Boys In Blue and others).

In November 2003 Freza & Flash met each other at a party. They immediately recognized similar music preferences and decided to join forces to create a few dance records together. As a result of this collaboration a number of progressive house tracks were produced. Among those is a remix of Depeche Mode classic "I Feel Loved". Today they have released several tracks "Altar", "Air Trip", "Chant" and "Kalimba" on such labels as Dorigen Music, Baroque Records and Plastic Fantastic. The track "Altar" was also remixed by Buick Project (Nic Fanciulli). The latest release by Freza & DJ Flash is "Ritmix", which will be released in 2006 on SOG Records including a remix by Steve May.

David West

Although David West might be a new name to many of you he has been around for a very long time. He began his musical journey at the age of 2 when his father, who is a musician himself, put him behind the black and white keys of the piano. David was taught by his father until the age of 6, then it was time for some serious classical training. By the age of 7 David had his first meeting with a synthesizer, and he immediately fell in love with the weird sounds that came out of it. Two years later he got a porta-studio (a 4-channel tape recorder) and started producing his own music, and from there he went to working with computers such as C-64, AMIGA and ATARI.

His professional career started back in 1994 when he teamed up with Robin Söderman and formed Antiloop. The band is a household name in the Scandinavian club circuits and following the success of their debut album, "LP", the name spread fast across the global underground network with cuts such as "In My Mind", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Trespasser" fast becoming techno classics and crossing over in numerous European territories. Most of the Antiloop singles have positioned themselves at the #1 spot in the Scandinavian dance charts. Two Grammy awards, six Swedish Dance Music awards, numerous gold and platinum records.

The first release from David West on his own was "Envy/Carrier". It was licensed to Way Out West's album "Don't look now". The track "Larry mountains 54" became one of the biggest progressive trance hits of 2005, made it to all the big compilations and was announced one of the biggest tracks of 2005 at Armin Van Buuren's show, a state of trance. His remixes has been hammered by all the big names. Last year he remixed acts as Tilt, Shiloh, Matt Darey, Inkfish Vs Martin H, Dominic Plaza, Carrie Skipper to name a few. The latest songs to be released by David is "Suffering Island" and "Make U Mine". Both tracks have already received a warm welcome from all the big names.

David has a lot going on working under many different aliases. As De Nada, David and Andreas Hermansson have created tribal-tinged stuff for labels like Barry Gilbeys Choo Choo and Chus & Ceballos Stereo. The De Nada remix of Martin H's "Over" was #1 on DJ Chus's chart for several weeks amongst others.

As Inkfish vs David West, they work with Greed's SOG-label. The first release "Aftermath" got massive support from Dj's like Paul Van Dyk and Marco V to name a few.

As Synergy, they have taken their more progressive as well as melodic influences to another planet. Pacifier was the first track to be released. With plays from almost everybody worth mentioning it quickly became a huge success. The follow up release "Hello Strings" became one of the biggest progressive tracks of 2004.

As Audioholics, David teams up with the young talent Özgür Can. The first track from this duo "External Key" was featured on many compilations by artists such as Gabriel and Dresden and Armin Van Buuren.

Setting up his own label, Aid Recordings, with help from Andy Moor is the project closest to his heart at the moment. Already signing big names and some of the most promising undiscovered artists the world has to offer Aid Recordings is looking to a very bright future.

Sied Van Riel (Subtraxx, Expedition Music)

M. Franciscus van Riel is what his pasport says. But people have been calling him Sied ever since he was a little kid. So it's for that reason that he doesn't listen to either of his first names simply because he isn't used it.

Most of the time you can find Sied in his studio at his home in Spijkenisse The Netherlands. It's there where he spends all of his free time "and also in my bedroom" he says.

Beeing a huge music fan, and enjoying life to it's maximum Sied gets his inspiration out of everyday life as he lives it today. Using that and pumpin' it directly into his sound is what makes his music.

Winning all sorts of competitions back in 94/95 at the age of 17 and also the biggest one in Holland that year by playing hardcore music Sied found out that this wasn't his thing. He eventually stopped playing this type of music and went on looking for a style which lay closer to his hart & mind. It took a few years before he finally found it.
Progressive & Trance music.

He sold almost of his hardcore minded records to a friend and started buying a new collection and also started to learn this musicstyle he fell in love with. Listening to different dj's and also got influenced by them. Sied also invested in a home studio so he could learn to produce his own tunes.

Now in 2006 Sied is back and here to stay!

With "Fearless" beeing his debut release on Finnish Label Subtraxx owned by Miika Kuisma he couldn't haved wished for anything better. The track was played by all major players such as Tiësto, Above & Beyond, Mike Koglin, (to name a few) and also selected for various compilations world wide. His remixes for Corydalics in May 2006 where also bonged on dancefloors worldwide, also released on Subtraxx. His next release "My Dreams" is already storming dance floors with massive support again by the big boys. He's currently working out alot of remixes for various dj's and also started some projects with other dj's such as Miika Kuisma and Dutch based dj Dazzle.

He recently joined Tiësto on his In Search of Sunrise 5 Tour to do warm up sets in Istanbul, Antalya and Cyprus with great succes and is also preparing for a Tour thru Eastern Europe with Subtraxx artists Dallas Superstars & Miika Kuisma.

Growing and maturing his sound in the studio, Sied is certain to keep on going.

As the dutch saying goes.

It's better to have 10 pigs in the air, then one in your hand ( because they are pretty heavy you know.. )

Björn Fogelberg (XAKK Records)

I started to experiment with electronic music on a Commodore 64 back in 1985. Since then I have released two commercial CDs and been featured on several compilations. The style of my music has changed over the years. My earliest tracks on the debut album 64 (XAKK Records) used influenses from my days with the Commodore 64. It's a 80's sounding album - but in an original way and coated with ambient electronica.

The style on my second album Karooshi Porn (Ninetysix Sounds) was mostly ambient/chill/electronica - with influenses from the masters Jarre, Vangelis, but also with a special original, romantic touch...

In 2001 I spent a week in the summer on Ibiza. When I got back home I knew I wanted to make music for the dance floor. It took me a few years to refine my producing skills - and in 2005 I had my first commercial EDM release when I remixed Deep Orbit's track "Revolver" for dutch label KYR Records.

Aslo in 2005 I resurrected XAKK Records as a digital label with the intention of releasing my own stuff and that of my closest friends. The first release "A Brand New World", including the remix by Andrew Kelly, got massive support from DJs like Satoshi Tomiie, Damian DP, Tony Estrada and DJ 19.

"Mind Your Matter" (2006) is played by some of the biggest DJs in the industry, like Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz.

Another track just recently released called "The Black Hole In My Heart" has got support from many good DJs like Moshic, Fuzzy Hair, Ivano Bellini, Tony Estrada, Shylock, Deepsky, Marc West, Deko-ze and DJ 19.

2006 has been really crazy and so far this year I have done four remixes and released four new tracks.

DJ Meri aka Cylon (Rulers Of The Deep)

Like with most successful musicians, the road for DJ Meri has been a long one. At the age of five, he started to play piano which was followed by school bands of different kind. After getting his musical education and being a choir conductor, DJ Meri turned to radiobroadcasting.

Fourteen years are ago, Meri got his first job on a national radio station, where he helped to produce shows. Later on, Estonian private stations like Top Radio, Mega FM and Sky also appeared. Today, Meri with his production and dj-partner P.Julm run a weekly show on the most popular station in Estonia - Tallinn Express is on every Saturday on Raadio 2.

Tallinn Express is also the name for a series of parties held three times a month.

More than four years ago, Meri fulfilled one of his dreams - the first single with his partner P.Julm as Rulers of the Deep was released on a global label. At the same time Meri starter his solo career, remixing tracks like "Finally" (Kings of Tomorrow), and chart topping "Sleep Talk" (ATFC). Now, producing music is his become almost daily job. New records are released all the time, both originals productions as well as remixes. In November 2004, NRK realeased the new ROTD single for the label "Last Survivor". DJ Mag Hype Chart listed the track at 5, Pete Tong Buzz Chart sees "Last Survivor" at seventh place. NRK also released Buick Project mixes. "The main mix is a chunky, jacking affair with a dirty, electro bassline. Acid synths wave in and out of the mix, cutting and submerging the mix and vocal snips".

The first DJ Meri single for NRK, "Everything" was released shortly after the Nite:life series mix-cd compilation by Rulers of the Deep, which was out in May.

This year, DJ Meri started to use a new moniker Cylon to produce more technoish tracks. "Kit Cat" was just released by Honchos Music and is getting rave reviews all over. "Filled up high on a psychedelic mix of house and soul, Meri takes us on a twisting instrumental journey from spaced out electronica through to jacking keys." (DJ Mag)

When talking about Meri's music or style, one has to understand, that although Meri is mostly known as a house music artist, that's not the whole case. His roots are closely tied with jungle and breakbeat music, every now and then you can hear him play intelligent techno as well. His influences also include David Bowie, Pet Shop Boys, Massive Attack, Future Sound of London and LFO.

Today, DJ Meri is heavily influenced by techno and it can be heard in his new tracks as well as dj sets.

Four years ago, Meri founded Tribe Ltd, a company which is doing sound post production for movies, also music for TV and radio ads, professional radio jingles.
