Stazi have been together now for three years, and have already played many gigs in places such as Milan, Bologna, Paris, Dublin, London, Amsterdam and some crazy hometown shows in Manchester.
You never know what you will get from a Stazi show. Naked gimps parading around on stage, A troupe of Ice-skating dancing girls, a masked man throwing custard pies at the audience or sometimes just a basic, no nonsense Electro-soul roadshow. Whatever happens, you won't forget it.
Stazi have a great pedigree as well with their sound being tailored by Joe Robinson, fast becoming a sought after producer in Europe and currently working with Chicks on Speed in Barcelona. This, coupled with the showmanship of singer Owen Jorge and his other half, Superchat, all adds up to a must see show.
They have also released two singles:
How Sleazy Do You Want It? / The Drifter (Chips 002)
Love is Lethal (Chips 004)
Both of these have now sold out their initial runs and have picked up airplay on Radio One and XFM as well as a number of European stations and Stazi also had a gig at Amsterdam's Paradiso club broadcast live on Dutch station 3Voor12.
An album ` We Are Stazi' will be forthcoming soon on Chips Records
