Artists and Music Producers from the German Club Scene establish a collective network.
The network, called Metrosoul, establishes a common ground for the activities of about fifteen producers, artists, label managers, and distributors. Members are well-known names including Herb LF/Westpark Unit, Lorenzo, Matthew Boone, Yoshino, Matt Flores, Deepthoughts, Natural Funk and others. Metrosoul creates a brand that combines the work of its members in order to positively counteract the crisis in the music industry, more specifically the ongoing withering of clubs and record labels. This is achieved by networking to the inside using the Internet and meeting regularly while co-producing music, aiming at joint venture releases and events, as well as providing valuable information to music-interested people.
All Metrosoul members have been active in genres such as house, 2step, and drum&bass for many years, and are looking back at a long list of releases and gigs. The collected know-how and experience are consolidated by teaming up in order to increase future impact and recognition. The schedule includes the release of a common Metrosoul album, Live- and DJ-gigs, and a website that allows accessibility to exclusive music, selected information about events, playlists, and backgrounds.
