Muffler - "Showdown" / "Futureshock" (SighCo 001)
This is the first release for the Nordic DnB label SighCo Recordings. Based in Norway (Home of TeeBee Future Prophecies, Monkey & Large and Rawthang), SighCo Recordings is owned by Paul Donald Rae (UK exile) and Konsta Mikkonen (a.k.a. Muffler / Konsta) from Finland.
Muffler needs no introduction for DnB fans, as his tracks has been rewound on dancefloors Worldwide since 2000. SighCo Recordings have been licensing all of their output to major labels like Urban Takeover, Moving Shadow, Hospital, TOV etc. for years....UNTIL NOW!
This is a vicious piece of vinyl that is guaranteed to satisfy both hardcore and techy fans alike.
"Showdown" starts with a typically eerie Muffler intro, before blasting off into the atmosphere. Howls and shifting drum lines keep you coming back for more. Tried, tested and found true, this lovely slice of dancemania has been rewound more times than ya Grandmas clock.
"Futureshock" is full-on techy action. Flying synths and aggressive loops cut back and forth in a totally controlled "chaotic" atmosphere. Guaranteed to make all techy fans go mad!
Both these tracks have been on many a DJ's wanted list for several months, so now is the time.
Currently being rewound on a dancefloor near you by Pendulum, Aphrodite, Counterstrike, Paul B etc.
