Anders Ilar currently lives in Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden. He was born in 1973 and grew up in Ludvika, a small town surrounded by woods and lakes. He started playing piano, when he was six years old, but soon lost interest. Instead he took a new interest in electronic music and spent most of his time making music with synths, sequencers and drum machines. During the late 80's and 90's he was involved in several projects with friends and he released several demo tapes in very limited editions. He also played live at local parties. In 1999/2000 he started his own record label called Pinesky and started producing music again. Anders Ilar's first 12" was released under moniker `Rend' on Cologne-based label Plong!. Later he got in contact with Shitkatapult as well, and has now got several releases out on Shitkatapult, Audio.NL, Echochord, and other well-known techno and house labels.
