ANDRÉ ABSOLUT

Born in February 1978 in Switzerland. When he was three years old, his parents recognized that André's reaction to any kind of music was shaking with his baby rattle perfectly in the groove. So they decided to promote his talents and sent him to drum school at the early age of four, on year before he started with the basic music education in the kindergarten. During the school he played several different instruments like flute, drums and guitar, which finally got his whole concentration for the next fourteen years.

While he was watching MTV he got into electronic dance music through music videos such as Sven Väth's "The Harlequin plays bells" and the "Chill Out Zone" videos. First he has been fascinated about the visual aspect of the 3D animations and finally got into the electronic music as well. Soon afterwards, André began, with the simplest of equipment, to produce electronic music and to acquire the necessary recording and computer knowledge. In the following eight years, his studio grew, along with his production skills and a variety of necessary technical equipment.

Together with Eric Blade as "Absolut & Blade" they released their first 12Inch vinyl which was signed to SUMSONIC Records, UK in 2002. After this successful step, he meet Tobi Wirz aka Greed, the label owner of the well known Swiss label SOG Records. Together with him he has remixed a track from the Swiss crossover band "No Religion". Both releases made it directly into the record-cases of the famous likes of Sasha & John Digweed, Danny Howells, Anthony Pappa, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Tenaglia and many others. Played by these top DJs this tracks have been featured in the Balance Promote- and other well-known and established charts and magazines.

Since then André has released several other original productions as André Absolut (solo) and co-productions together with Eric Blade (Absolut & Blade), Greed (Absolut & Greed), Minilogue aka Sonkite (André Absolut vs. Minilogue), Downpressor (André Absolut & Downpressor) and many others. Remixes has been requested by artists like Thomas Penton, Greed, Sub6, Piece Process, Shiloh, and Haldolium - to name a few.

André Absolut's DJ sets rocked dancefloors in Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Belgium, Sweden, Portugal and Germany so far. Since 2003 `Absolut & Blade' and `André Absolut' solo performed several live acts which gained lots of attention and positive reactions in the scene.

With lots of different projects in the pipeline, André Absolut is definitely a name to look out for in the future.

MURAT UNCUOGLU

With a love for music and technology, the decision to pursue a career in electronic music was not too difficult. Applying it in a traditional society, however, was the challenge. Completing high school, Uncuoglu started working at CD LAND, importing foreign LPs and the first CDs to Istanbul. Collecting a vast knowledge of the current dance music, he was approached with offers to DJ at private parties. In 1987, he began accepting the offers, and started his DJ'ing career. Soon his first residency, at Bodrum Hadigari, followed.

Uncuoglu's career took a professional turn when his success at Hadigari caught the attention of the owner of Pasha Istanbul and he was immediately recruited to the club. Before long, his name became simultaneous with Pasha as he transformed the club's music scene to match that of the best in Europe.

His ever-increasing urge to become a professional DJ and producer, took Uncuoglu to what was then the heart of electronic music, London. During the day, he studied sound engineering and production at London's Media Productions. At night, he conducted field research in London's legendary clubs.

While there, he met international producers including Marshall Jefferson (Chicago) and BAM BAM (Chicago) and worked as their engineers at various studios. It was not long before he was DJ'ing in exclusive parties and local clubs.

Upon his return to Istanbul in 1994, he embarked upon multiple projects. Consequently, he was recruited as the resident DJ at Club 2019, Istanbul's first and legendary underground club. Simultaneously, Uncuoglu embarked on his most memorable project, the co-founding of Radio 2019, the first electronic music radio station in Turkey. Thus, the first steps towards placing Istanbul on club culture's international map were taken.

Since then, Murat Uncuoglu has founded MiracleWorkz, with his composer/singer associate Aytekin Kurt. Together they have created remixes for Turkey's top artists such as Tarkan, Sertap Erener, Levent Yuksel, and many more.

Uncuoglu has been the resident DJ at 7th House and Switch, the top two clubs in Istanbul, not to mention being host for DJs Max Graham, Dave Seaman, Lemon8, Kasey Taylor, Andy Jarod, Stewart Rowell and Breeder to name a few.

Having attained national stardom and respect by both his fans and colleagues, Murat Uncuoglu has turned his attention to the international music scene.
