GEN.6 aka Paulina Cewe [Cryon Records : SWEDEN] - BIOGRAPHY

Paulina Cewe is a Dj and producer focused on tech-house and dark progressive trance.

She knows how to tame the electronic sounds and make them follow her every command. By playing at clubs and events ranging from the Docklands in Stockholm, Sweden to the Dinamo in Tel Aviv, Israel - Paulina Cewe has established her own style by blending tech-house and progressive trance since the year 2000. Her previous apperances include countries such as Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Israel, Switzerland and England to name but a few.

Coming from a musically oriented family, as a child Paulina Cewe has been schooled in the art of classical piano which has laid the foundation for an enormous interest in music and it's multiple manifestations.

She was introduced fairly late into the techno-trance scene, but soon found a personal forum in a new dimension. By combining creativity with knowledge about the fundamental structures of music - a door was opened to a new way of perceiving and arranging sounds. This was the beginning of a great exploration of the trance-phenomena which eventually also led to her DJing.

The continous search for an interaction with the crowd, and a constant connection with the trance community, enables her to entwine the different changes and flows both on the dancefloor and on the trance-scene as a whole. Her appetite for beat and rhythm is fueled by the fascinating and ever evolving sound of trance.

As a producer Paulina Cewe is creating an atmosphere of her own. The blend of tribal through progressive, melodic yet minimal, classical still futuristic, moves her through genres - crossing boundaries - and entwining them all together. In the year 2002 her debute album 'Gen.6 - Genesis' was released on the Swedish trance label Creon Records. Appearing on compilations alongside artists such as Pulsedriver, Blank & Jones, Timo Maas, Tiesto, ATB, Antiloop and also a release for the Norwegian label Freetransform has paved the way for a second album which is scheduled for release in 2004 on Creon Records.

Being one of few female producers that's also DJing both trance and tech-house, Paulina Cewe has encorporated a style of electronic music that is rapidly changing and continously evolving.

Miulta putoilee kyllä Millenium-crew:lle isot rispektit aiheesta. Varsinkin siitä, että se on näinkin hyvin esillä!
