With the warm bass sensations of drum and bass, Iku likes to play the lighter side of dnb. Labels like Hospital, Soul:R, Phuturo and Phuturistic Bluez are definately found from Iku's worn and ugly recordbag.
Iku started his record collecting in 1999 when he found out that good tunes only seem to be available on vinyl. Checking out a few stores he started getting techno vinyl and going on ahead playing them at friends' parties. While techno-retailers had a hard time of delivering ordered records, he found a store which sold drum'n'bass and the techno began slowly changing to dnb-sounds.
In the winter of 2002 and 2003 Iku had moved to Riihimäki to study, there he met a local dj, KUMi. KUMi and Iku share the passion for music and formed a collective to promote a club in Riihimäki, the Don't Just Stand There (DJST). After the first night was over DJST formed as the name of the collective and hosted four nights in Riihimäki during 2003. In the summer of 2004 DJST gained two new dj's and started hosting a club night at MS Maria. A small restaurant-boat at Hakaniemi in Helsinki.
In 2004 Iku slowly merged as a part of the Barely Legal collective. And helped to organize the BL rooms in a few underground parties in Helsinki. The most recent was the collaboration with Entropy in the New Years Eve '04-'05 UV:UG. In which BL organized the acclaimed chillout room.
