Finally,
As per usual the Pinky effort was made by putting down the custom made carpets and having some freebies. Dash Berlin was a good booking and fitted into their usual bill of standards.
In hindsight I am not sure if the venue quite matched the genres quality on show. Don't get me wrong, the Pinky crew did a good job! However, I felt that the regular crowd of teens (16 to 18yr olds) dampened the vibe. We've all been down that alley and it doesn't need much explaining that there were many 'hammered' youngsters wandering around aimlessly to the music. Zero connection. A shame.
As Onnela is used to its melting pot of europop, RnB, hip-hop etc etc; those regulars who came to hear this seemed to wonder what was happening.
The VIP room was a bit of a saviour from the mayhem. Good chilled Deep & Ibiza house with plenty more grown up faces. A real pitty that I only went to the main dancefloor for bursts of Defa/PeteS, Jace and Dash.
Overall: Thumbs up to Pinky... Varied opinions on the venue Onnela.
Cheers to the Pinky crew and again, keep it up
