Run by a couple of Brits, Liquid Crystal Sounds (LCS) was established over three years ago by DJ’s Progression from London and Ali King from Belfast. Offering a different perspective of music and perceptions from back in UK, LCS has risen from strength to strength and has established itself as a trademark club night across Finland!

For our first LCS event of 2010, we kick things off in a trance-progressive style! Friday 26th February will mark our LCS 'PROGRESSION' event incorporating three top DJ talents into one evening of inspirational audio entertainment!

We'll be celebrating DJ PROGRESSION's 20 YEARS OF DJ'ing. From his first set of Technics 1210's in his bedroom during early 1990, to organising underground parties, to spinnin' in clubs across UK, Finland and the Baltics... He's a DJ who has seen and experienced the highs of the UK Hardcore / Rave scene, witnessed the birth of super clubbing brands Ministry Of Sound, Cream, Gatecrasher, Fabric, Slinky... and danced amongst 1000's to almost every superstar DJ name! With a hands-on exposure to the growth of electronic music, it's no wonder this DJ really has an electronic music education.

Support comes from ‘Anjunabeats’ extraordinaire 'JOONAS HAHMO'. This Tampere based DJ-Producer has certainly confirmed his rising popularity with an ever impressive list of worldwide gigs and releases to major labels! Expect only the best from this Finnish maestro. Helsinki’s DJ ORION will also join the LCS lineup to seal a solid night of upfront tunage. Orion has played amongst the world’s finest DJ’s, promoted some of the largest and famous parties and made a true imprint on the Finnish electronic scene.

With over 3yrs on the scene, LCS will take you to another level with a “PROGRESSION” of old skool and upfront anthems. With the DJ experience of this trio of talents, this promises to be winter’s prime party to visit... Dress up, get down & soak up the music.

Ladies & Gentlemen,

Friday's Liquid Crystal Sounds 'PROGRESSION' event was definitely one of our best to date! We would like to thank everybody who came along to Klubi's Ilta floor and showed us their support!

With DJ PROGRESSION celebrating his 20th anniversary of DJ'ing behind the decks, the first 90 minutes of audio entertainment were blessed with some timeless classics! Progression kicked out an energy filled progressive house set building up the atmosphere and paving the way for the more trancier sounds ahead in the night.

'Anjunabeats’ extraordinaire 'JOONAS HAHMO' was the second DJ to step up on stage. This Tampere talent shifted the pitch up a few notches and brought in a blend of progressive trance and techno. Joonas dropped a string of promo's, his own productions and other upfront anthems. A truely pumpin' set.

Misc Management's 'DJ ORION' rounded the night off with an array of uplifting beauties! A DJ who has promoted some of the largest and famous parties knew exactly what to do... There was certainly a sense of nostalgia in the set as remakes of classics were thrown in the mixing bowl! The night ended with the cherry on the cake:

A final thanks to Ville, Ali, Anny, Elisa, Ilona, Mekha, Tundra, our DJ's and all the people who helped to organise, promote and execute this LCS Progression event.

Once again we will be returning to Klubi's Ilta floor at the beginning of summer. Until then, lets all hope for a fast spring to arrive! Keep up the great support!
