EXTREMELY MISCBEHAVING MAIN EVENTAfter almost a year since the last Miscbehaving party, we are back with one of this years top progressive house & trance events. Orkidea returns to host the Extremely Miscbehaving party, with two of his personal DJ heroes. One of which he played with at some of the most legendary events of Finnish clubbing history and another, which he has been happy to perform, record, release music and work with.

IAN OSSIA - Renaissance, UK

Our second guest needs little introduction to the Finnish crowd, but let's write a few words about this artist, who have become one of the most popular foreign DJ's to play in Finland.

Ian became the resident of the almighty Renaissance club brand, after Sasha passed on his mixtape to the owner of the club, Geoff Oaks. The year was 1992, and the club scene took off big time, with Ian becoming the main resident of one of the most powerful club brands in the world. Ian has been traveling worldwide, developing the famous Renaissance sound - a sound which has evolved to what is known today as progressive house. Emotional music with a deep bass and a groovy flow.

Ian has played in Finland various times, and enjoyed a headliner status in some of the most important events. The highlights must have been headlining the infamous Renaissance World Tour events as early as 1998, headlining Pussy clubs 8th birthday in Studio51 and JACK 4th birthday in Kuudes linja.

His passion for the music, his seriousness for his set preparation, and his sensitivity for the crowd reaction makes Ian stand out from the rest, always delivering an exceptional set flow and a fresh musical journey. Year after year.

"In couple weeks there will be again an Extremely Miscbehaving event here in Helsinki. The idea of these events (organized by Misc Management) is that one of the Misc artists invites his favorite foreign and finnish artists to play one night together. Last December I hosted one event with Solarstone, Redanka and Mr.A all joining the decks. Im at least as excited as before the last event because this time the guests are also my all time heroes, fave DJs and friends too after years of working (and partying) together.

Ian Ossia represents a true old school hero. He is one of the first Renaissance residents (alongside Sasha & Digweed) since 1992. Ian first visited Helsinki at a Renaissance event in 1998 and blew everybody away with a set that could be THE progressive house set of all times. Not exaggerating! His Renaissance mix CDs (together with Dave Seaman and Nigel Dawson) were essential mileposts for the trancey late 90s prog sound. Hes been in Helsinki at least 6-7 times headlining Renaissance, Pussy and Jack events and Im very much looking forward to hearing his melodic, groovy and sophisticated prog sound again.

Andy Moor is the second foreign headliner and equally meaningful to me. His productions as Tilt, Leama & Moor and Whiteroom are some of the best progressive trance of 21st century, his AVA label is a very profilic quality trance output, he has remixed everybody from Brian Eno to Britney Spears and he is remarkably #18 on the DJ Mags Top 100 list. Our collaboration YearZero took off pretty well in 2006 and he also released my Metaverse album outside of UK on AVA resulting in multiple Beatport Trance Top 10 tracks for example. During this visit well also collaborate with Andy in studio. Lets see what the results will be like

Finnish guest of the night is DJ Coma who is a true veteran in our local scene and in my opinion is one of the best progressive house DJs in all of Scandinavia. He was also one of the first promoters to book me outside of Helsinki in the mid-90s. As a DJ he is best known as resident for Pussy and Clinic clubs and his brilliant Sunday chill-out radio show on Basso. His warm up of Nick Warren at Jack in March was brilliant so he is perfect choice to warm the floor at Helsinki Club.

Myself and Coma will do the warm up with proggy stuff, Ian will do his Renaissance style prog effort and Andy will finish the night with some quality trance. The event will also be the finnish premiere of the much hyped DJ Hero game which is nice as there heros around anyway. Lets see if we get to battle with Tero, Ian and Andy to see whos scratch hand is quickest;) Event is hosted by the Peled Brothers, lights are designed and controlled by Tea & Severi (of Unity), DJ Hero room is hosted by DJ Orion (of YleX) and the afterparty features Genki, Flight, Orion and Casper so I sense Extremely Miscbehaving coming up Hope to see you all at Helsinki Club on Saturday 24th!"

The first Extremely Miscbehaving event one year ago @ Virgin Oil was a blast. It attracted nearly 1000 people just a couple of days before Christmas with Redanka and Solarstone as headliners. The main idea behind Miscbehaving events is that one of Misc. Management artists invites 1-3 foreign or domestic & fresh or oldskool talents and builds the lineup to represent his idea of quality electronic music.

On 24.10. well see another round of Miscbehaving madness as DJ Orkidea invites legendary Renaissance resident Ian Ossia and one of the hottest trance names currently Andy Moor to headline a Miscbehaving night at Helsinki Club. The oldskool trance/prog fellow DJ Coma will be taking care of the warm-up.

The night continues at Playground at 05:00 as an official afterparty. Ive invited some of the most interesting current domestic names to share the early underground morning hours with me: First of all DJ Casper, who has convinced me lately with his superb techno sets. Hes a guy living the music 100% and is one of the true rising stars currently. Hes not only a guy for dark underground venues but has caught my attention by playing really rocking groovy summery sets, too.
Then, my good ol friend DJ Flight. Weve shared the DJ booths and organized club events together more than a dozen times last year and I greatly admire his uncompromised professional attitude. Flight is not only a great person, but also easily one of the top house jocks in Finland at the moment. Easy choice of picking him in.
And lastly, DJ Genki, an oldskool and multi-genre-talent jock breaks-psy-dnb-techhouse-techno-younameit! He has an ear for killer tracks whatever style he plays, but his techno sets have been the ones totally ripping it. A perfect choice for ending the night, no matter how late it gets :)
