Syyskuussa 2009 Ibadan Records (NYC) & Apotek Record (GER) aloittivat kuukausittaisen Suomen klubi-iltansa Playgroundissa, Helsingissä.
Nämä illat on omistettu todellisille teknon rakastajille. Resident dj, Ibadanin ja Apotekin perustaja Jerome Sydenham soittaa itse jokaisessa tapahtumassa. Hän vieraili toukokuussa Playgroundissa ja rakastui klubiin niin tulisesti, että halusi aloittaa oman klubi-iltansa siellä. Klubin vieraaksi saapuu joka kuukausi residentin lisäksi myös ulkomainen vieras suoraan teknon huipulta.
Lokakuussa vieraaksi saapuu Tiger Stripes aka Mikael Nordgren Ruotsista. Tämä nouseva tähti on ehdokkaana parhaaksi tech house artistiksi Beatportissa 2009. Tiger Stripes on erittäin korkealle arvostettu muiden huippu artistien joukossa ja kasvattaa jatkuvasti suosiotaan ympäri maailmaa.

In September 2009 Ibadan Records & Apotek Records (NYC) will started their monthly night in Finland in the underground club Playground at Helsinki
These nights are dedicated to true techno lovers in Finland. Resident dj, Ibadan & Apotek Record label founder Jerome Sydenham, will be playing in every event. Jerome visited Playground first time in May and loved the club so much that he wanted to start his own label night there. Ibadan night will be set up in Playground once a month and every time alongside with the resident dj Jerome Sydenham you can see top of the top techno dj:s.
The guest for the second night will be Tiger Stripes aka Mikael Nordgren from Sweden. This rising star is nominated for best tech house artist on Beatport 2009. Tiger Stripes is highly respected amongst top artists and is rising his popularity all over the world.

Jerome Sydenham bio
DJ, Producer and founder of the record labels Ibadan Records, Apotek Records, Avocado Records, and UK Promotions. He started out in A&R with Atlantic Records and later with East West Records.
Jerome Sydenham is one of the hottest tickets in the world of house and techno music right now. Born in Nigeria to Jamaican and English parents, raised and schooled in England and then educated further by the streets and clubs of New York, his first major forays into dance music came when he worked in the A&R division of Atlantic Records in the late 80s, working with the likes of En Vogue, Das EFX, and breaking vocal house group Ten City. Soon after he met emerging producer Kerri Chandler one of his closest friends and a former collaborator, and his name as a producer and DJ gradually built over the 90s, with his superb label Ibadan Records launched in 1995.
He is best known for beautiful, emotive, sunkissed deep house tracks like "Swimming Places", and his timeless collaboration with Dennis Ferrer, "Sandcastles", both on leading house imprint Defected. However he also shares Ferrers love for hypnotic, soulful, sexy techno bringing an undeniable warmth to an often emotionally cold genre of music. His collaborations with Get Physicals Swedish talent Tiger Stripes - like the hugely acclaimed "Elevation" and their joyous remix of Faze Actions classic "In The Trees" - should likewise be added to the cannon of great house music history.
Sydenhams desire to push the creative envelope with took him into the world of Techno with the hit Asama, with which he launched the German based label Apotek Records. The year 2007 also saw the initiation of a new label collaboration, Avocado Records, established in Denmark with heavy weight producer Rune RK with the monster "Elephant".

Mikael Nordgren is Tiger Stripes, and the first time you may have seen his alias Tiger Stripes though was in 2004 when he released the afro-tastic piano driven house stomper Dingo, on SlipNSlide and after that followed releases on top quality labels around the world, like Ibadan, Get Physical, Liebe Detail, King Street/Nitegrooves, SlipNSlide and his sound has been gradually developing since then.
This wasnt the first venture into the world of house for him, as DMalicious he was responsible for the classic techno 12, Dark Tradition on Francois Ks Wave Music, that earned him fans such as Jerome Sydenham, Dennis Ferrer & Carl Craig amongst others.. and hes now finishing off a new album for them. There are also talks about a further album project with a prominent house label in the near future, as well as a forthcoming Mix CD compilation!
Tiger Stripes created quite a stir after remixing huge tracks like DJ Gregorys S2 on Faya Combo (now signed to Defected); Reds Release The Pressure for Southern Fried; Red Carpets Alright on Positiva, as well as remixes of house favourites Most Precious Love by Blaze; Sydenham & Ferrers Sandcastles & Our Time by King Britt
A lot of people might also recognise him as one of the masterminds behind Stockholm-Go Bang!, a collaboration with Jerome Sandcastles Sydenham, that came out on Ibadan last year and was a favourite with both house and techno heads all over the world and his subsequent solo releases on Ibadan (The Vulture, Sun Watcher etc) have been in the boxes of all key tastemakers over the past couple of years.
Tiger Stripes is releasing his first studio album for King Street this winter, following a few select 12 releases earlier this year, and he was also invited into a very select club of producers that got the chance to remix one of the 10 re-issues from Juno, when he together with Jerome Sydenham took on Faze Actions mighty In The Trees alongside Carl Craig!!
His sound has changed towards a darker sound that has been his first love since day one, and with releases on labels like Liebe Detail, Urbantorque and now Get Physical this is not likely to change, and his monster tune Genesis is signed to SlipNSlide and due to come out soon with a big name remixer yet to be announced. Hes also remixed Marcus Enochson for Sonar Kollektiv, and Dennis Ferrers next single P2DAJ for King Street/Defected.
Alongside of this hes also been running one of the most respected club nights in Stockholm, Go Bang!, where the only invite the best and most prolific DJs and live acts to play, including Claude VonStroke, François K, Osunlade, Jerome Sydenham, Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, Dixon, Dj Gregory, Lindstrom & Âme to mention just a few.
Lately hes been busy finishing his new studio, located in the same building as Jesper Dahlback et al, and there are several exciting projects in the pipeline so watch this space.
