Superb deep melodic tracks that are very sensitive, emotional and very honest. Quality tracks that touch you straight inside your heart and soul. This is what i call real trance sound for the summer. Thanks so much for sending them. will be radio supported of course

“Two Hollow Souls" is easily my favorite of the Triangle Wave EP. The lush beats and proggy, melodic build can be used to create a nice set build! Supported!

Like a Wind is most for my taste. All in all very solid and well produced package - 8/10.

Also supported by: Markus Schulz, Ernesto vs Bastian, Manuel Le Saux, Akira Kayosa, Phillip Alpha, Digital Nature…

MusiCritics review

“ A prism of aural bliss from the cold north! ” - 9/10

I’ve been bit by the Finity bug, and what a sweet sweet love it is. This latest effort from this quality Finnish trance label comes from a very little known duo, Marko Kantola & Sauli Viinamäki. Finity has a storied release history, and this latest has been canned by the likes of Markus Schulz, Suzy Solar, Lange, Airwave, Mike Saint-Jules and many more…

This release features three tracks, Erica, Like a Wind and Two Hollow Souls. Each track is truly unique, each providing a deep and sultry trancer that errs on the progressive/tech side of things. On top of being an accurate representation of today’s trance this release also speaks to an older style of trance that is nearly all but dead today.

Read on for my full take on this 3 track release, some high quality samples and for your chance to vote for your favorite!

Erica
I wonder who this track is named after? Perhaps a long lost love? If so, the intro certainly does a wonderful job of conveying a nearly robotic sob and as the track’s layers start to appear we’re privey to a tasty vocal stab, some deep synths and crystal clear percussion elements. The breakdown is simple, opting to go minimalist and include a vintage sound with the arps, pads and synths. This track does everything in a manner that is quite pleasing, and I can predict it appealing to the entire spectrum of trance fans. Just quality trance done right and with emphasis on a melancholic cry throughout, it’s possible this song is reaching out to a very specific someone!

Like A Wind
This track is a little deeper in aura and tone, and I’m instantly reminded of older Coldharbour Recordings productions. Emphasis is placed on the playful top end in this track, keeping everything balanced including the low and round bassline. Once again some highly effected and filtered vocals seep in throughout the track, adding variety to the mix. The breakdown is oozing with raw emotion, the inclusion of a simple yet powerful piano riff and distant vocals aid in generating an air of worry and hope. We culminate into the crash and the track keeps moving along effortlessly thereafter. I’ve got to say, this track has been on repeat since the first time I heard it. It’s up there with Emery’s Exposure as my favorite of the year!

Two Hollow Souls
Wow, what a track name! Talk about depressing and melancholic, I wonder how the track will play out…needless to say, I think I was bang with my prediction, this track is dark and deep, with a mostly hypnotic groove that sucks you in and makes it nearly impossible to focus on much more. The breakdown is celestial and when the space-age melody drops it becomes apparent that we’re in for quite the ride. With an almost destructive intention, the track takes off after the crash with little to no disregard for the listener….I love it! So much attitude is packed into this gem that you have to give it a listen or two

The Verdict
I must say that considering the typical Finity sound, I was utterly in shock when I popped this baby open for a few listens.

Emotions. Depth. Groove. Vocals.

This release literally has everything it needs to become a classic. As for my favorite, no surprise there, Like A Wave!
