Here are a few videos of Marc Kirkbride in his element at an older LCS event. This footage gives a small insight into the kind of show this DJ puts on. Even though the genre spun in these vids will be nothing like what he intends to play at 'Recollection', the scratching, hotcues, samples, cuts and effects will all be fully utilised (and much much more)! Have a watch through, enjoy and apologies for the dark recording conditions :)

Phew!

WHAT A PARTY!!!! :) ... Those seem to be the main three words to describe Saturday night at LCS "Recollection". It may have been +25 degrees outside, but the hot temperature was re-created on the dancefloor. Absolutely superb!

Despite our early difficulties of repairing a last-minute DJ cancellation, 'HOMEGROVE' took the vacant DJ slot and punched out some rolling techno. Once again, he shows just why he is consistently booked to many of Finland's finest events. 1hr 45mins of top quality tunage... building up slowly for Jaywink to raise the pace with some bangin' breaks!

Breaks master 'JAYWINK' didn't disappoint! Another inspirational set full of both older and newer stuff. Great mixing on 12"s, killer basslines and some really nice crowd response. With the tempo rolling in the 136 bpm zone it was set for DJ number three...

At 01.30am Old Skool master 'MARC KIRKBRIDE' stepped up to the One's & Two's. The first sounds spun were a number of voice samples, Hot-cues and scratches before "Bang"... In came a pounding 1991 classic by Slipmatt & Lime: "SL2 - DJ's Take Control". Quite simply legendary stuff.

The following 120 minutes consisted of over 80+ tunes , 100's of cuts and even more samples. It was true to say that his fantastic use of the mixer left peoples mouths wide open. Scratching, samples, Hot-cues, Toggle-cuts, loops, effects... Serious old skool style.

Finishing off with "Moby - Feeling So Real" ... induced several "WE WANT MORE!!!" shouts from a packed out dancefloor! A finale followed of almost 1-2 minutes of whistles, clapping and general encore. Quite rightly deserved!

Once again: What a party!

All that is left to say is thanks to All 3 DJ's who rocked the night and to each and every one of you who came to support! With June 1st kicking in today, It will be quite a few months break now for LCS in Turku.

Until the Autumn then... Keep it locked!
