WE HAVE REACHED THE VERDICT!

First of all many thanks for great and innovative mixes! The competition was tight and busier than expected. After long consideration we have found the winner!

The winner of STANDARD MIXTAPE CHALLENGE is:

St. Laurent (Funk'it, FI)

Here is some info of this selector:

His ancestor, St. Lawrence, was grilled to death by the Roman empire in 258AD. While facing the inevitable, he insisted to be turned around to ensure proper cooking.

Now, almost two milleniums later, St. Laurent is back to revenge the death. By serving soulful d&b beats to the public he's continuing the work of redeeming innocent souls from being destroyed by bad music.

Highly influenced by the sound of the early and mid 90's, St. Laurent has grown to appreciate the deep sounds of well known labels such as Good Looking, Metalheadz and Moving Shadow. Taking in account the progress of drum & bass in the last years, this leads to a wide range of different kinds of selections, be it old school sounds for a café or soulful liquid for the dancefloor. You can also find a set of brokenbeat/soul/jazz from his record bag.

You can check his skills live at the next STANDARD 6.2.2009:

Once again congratulations to St.Laurent and many thanks to other challengers! Jungle is massive.
