Voices from beyond are calling you
Graveyard Party gathers up electro-, industrial-, metal-, goth-, etc. fans to enjoy Finnish music and lifestyle for one night in December. GP was first arranged in Kuopio, Finland 2006 and the second Party saw daylight in Helsinki a year after. Feedback from these happenings has been highly positive and as a result of this, the vassals of the parties are launching the third GP in Helsinki, Finland.
This year's GP offers live shows by Turmion Kätilöt, Black Light Discipline, Dj Proteus, Vanity Beach, Alek Szahala, Dj Kärtsy Hatakka (Waltari), Dj aQi, Dj Tres, Dj Kaitsu (Schatten) and a couple of stunning extra acts. If we are fortunate enough, some naughty extras can also be served for dessert.
Interior decoration is playing a great role as usually and this December a totally new club, Dark Floor, will be built inside Graveyard Party. Also the old scenes; Graveyard (main stage) and Watchtower (dj-tower), will have a massive facelift.
Another big addition in this years arrangements is the Grave Lounge, which offers a little more luxury for a few people, who want to enjoy the party in the VIP-area. Only 30 VIP-tickets are for sale, so be sharp, be smart and make your decision in time!
Graveyard Partys own lifestyle show appears as a part of the party again, as was seen the first year. There will be the hottest clothing and accessories from our collaborators and stylish models pimped up by our Graveyard Specialists.
It would be wise to take some cash with you because there are a lot of possibilities to get some shopping done. An easy way to get the last minute Christmas presents, dont you think?

TURMION KÄTILÖT
Turmion Kätilöt (english: midwives of destruction) is an Industrial Metal band which was formed in 2003 by MC Raaka Pee and Dj Vastapallo, who were already taking a part of another band called Ancient Drive.
Later on, they were joined by the other members of what should become Turmion Kätilöt: Master Bates, RunQ, and DQ. At the end of 2004 MC Raaka Pee and DJ Vastapallo, presented Spellgoth, an artist they knew thanks to his bands Trollheim's Grott and Slave's Mask, the two very first songs of their new project.
Besides, Turmion Kätilöt is a band that is not in the least afraid of attention. In fact, their shows are not only numerous, but also quite impressive. And it's exactly that, which the band does owe a great deal of their success to, because these stage fanatics cause a lot of talk about them with their shows in which they do not hesitate to throw in scenes of self-mutilation, simulated flagellation and even a bit of sex. And even though Spellgoth is not involved in composing the music, he is a very important member for the band, because it's him who performs the great majority of said shockers.
Turmion Kätilöt have quite a particular style: Many electronic sounds contrast against a rough, growling singing voice in finnish, hard riffs and drums that feature an indefatigable and merciless hammering. An original sound reminding one a bit of early Rammstein during their first albums Herzeleid and Sehnsucht, though in a complete heavier fashion.
Concerning the lyrics, one will find the ever same topics discussed: Sex, S/M, death, religion, satanism (religion), medics, politics, madness, war, suffering... Their lyrics are pretty solid, though. They are often rather cryptic and hard to interpret, while the general atmosphere is rather dark...
PROTEUS
Proteus has gained the respect to be called Finland's most known Hard Dance DJ and is one of the key players of the global hard dance scene. Proteus has been dj'ing for 13 years and producing music about 8 years. Proteus is the only DJ who has been voted the best Hard Dance DJ in the world two times at Hard Dance Awards (2004 & 2005) and has been numbered as 90 and 93 at DJ MAG's TOP 100 DJ Poll. In his career so far Proteus has toured in Finland, United Kingdom, Holland, Switzerland, Malaysia, Germany, Estonia, Australia and Japan. Proteus has played and headlined most of the major techno events in Europe and Australia.
BLACK LIGHT DISCIPLINE
Gathered around a vision of an electro-metal band, Black Light Discipline was formed by a group of five guys already befriended through different bands. This group quickly put together a mini-cd called "Same story - different people" and played their first gig in just a couple of months from the start.
The band line up is Toni - vocals, Janne - synths, Antti - guitars, Iiro - bass and Veikka - drums. Huge amount of enthusiasm and passion is a natural driving force for the band which can best be seen on stage. BLD is an aggressive live-band which is the main focus in their music.
BLD's music began taking a different form since the band had become more familiar with each others style of playing and writing. Combining various styles of playing the band put up a melting pot of varied musical backgrounds from death to ebm and gothic rock and made room for everyone to pour in their ideas. This is the short description of BLD's unique sound. A kind of reneissance of electro-metal, if you will. New twists and turns can be heard on the release - Humanography and from the upcoming debut album Empire which will be released 26th of november.

ALEK SZAHALA
Since 2003, Alek Szahala has been one of the key players in the developement of Finrg sound. Alongside with Proteus, RX and Carbon Based, he has spred the Finrg plague all over the world through dozens of releases on Nu Energy, Electronica and Finrg recordings and by performing several gigs in the UK, Japan, Canada and Australia.
TRES
During the last 15 years Tres has become one of the household names of the Finnish hardcore techno scene by operating as the mastermind behind such clubs and concepts as Rauta, Antenniosasto, Inkvisitio and Salamurharyhmä, and playing techno and hardcore both live and as a dj in some of the biggest events in Finland (Koneisto, Labyrinth, Laserpoint, and Pacifique to name but a few). His uncompromising view of hardcore as a mind moving medium is evident in his dj sets as he pulls the dancing crowd into his world of searing sounds and rhythms - hardcore at it's purest.
KÄRTSY (WALTARI)
Kärtsy Hatakka, the leader and primus motor of the band Waltari , has become recognized as one of the most remarkable faces in the history of Finnish rock music. Waltari was the first Finnish band to start this well-known invasion of Finnish hard rock/metal music into Europe in early 90s. They signed a worldwide record deal with Roadrunner Records in 1992 and soon were one of the first Finnish rock bands to hit the European charts and stages in mid 90s. Besides Waltari Kärtsy, as a full time musician since 1991, has also had a lot of other remarkable musical engangements here and there in different fields of music, including a pioneering soundtrack work for a legendary Finnish computer game Max Payne (parts 1 and 2). And now, as the newest project, he is continuing his solo artist career, which he already started some years back under a name K2, continuing it later with his other side project Wax-Real Time Orchestra.
If we count in the Max Payne games that have sold six million copies worldwide, Kärtsys contribution can be heard on seven million units sold in total. As a musical chameleon and an avid David Bowie fan, this secretly gothic composer has been interested in hard-hitting guitars as well as synthesizers throughout his entire life, with maintaining original rock-and-roll attitude without respect to any genre borders. The enthusiasm towards different fields of rock music has begun already at an early age through his family, and the musical influences, at least attitudewise, along with all the classical rock bands and artists of 60s and 70s were passionly absorbed to his head already in his childhood. However, from the first Punk/New Wave bands in late 70s-early 80s he then found his first personal musical innovators, which kicked him, along with his elder brother..s band, to put up his first own line-up, already at the age of 11, which included already his long term band mate in Waltari, Jariot Lehtinen.
AQI (KUROSHIO CURRENT)
aQi has been doing DJ gigs about ten years. Almost from the time since Kuroshio Current was founded. As a DJ he always pursues to build his set really danceable, including tracks from ebm hits to rougher bodymusic to make people sweat. aQi's set also includes everything from trance to gothic rock and synth pop. Also new aggrotech and rhythmic noise may be heard.
aQi has been playing in clubs such as Resurrection, SMFR and Synapsi.
