After Tempo Giusto started creating a lifetime career out of music and DJing,
he has taken a huge leap production wise.

Combining forces with experienced Monday Bar resident Jace, they form production duo with knowlegde of dancefloor dynamics aswell as killer production skills.

Pure & Sweet is the first track they produced together. The track got huge crowd feedback everytime tested, leaving us no choice but sign the track immediately. The massive breakdown and lovely athmospheric pads give this track sort of "classic trance" anthem.

Pasi Korhonen, the reliable frequent contributor to Finity, delivered massive, true to old-school-trance banging proggy monster. This remix have raising the roofs of every single club it's been played at!

Diggaan tosta originaalista mut basslinee olis voinu miettiä toooooooosi paljon uusiks. Onneks se katoaa kun tavaraa alkaa tuleen sisään, mut tossa alussa se on jopa hiukka häiritsevä. Biisi itsessään on kyllä oikein kiva melodinen tranceralli :)

The digital arm of Finity Recordings continues to showcase the best of the trance that Finland has to offer. Up here is a track by Tempo Giusto and Jace with a fiery remix from Pasi Korhonen...

:: Tempo Giusto Vs. Jace - Pure & Sweet
:: Finity Digital
:: FTYDG010

1) Pure & Sweet (Original Mix)
When 'Pure & Sweet' kicks off, you'd be forgiven for thinking that it's going to pan out to be a calm, samey piece of progressive trance. That view though, is very very wrong indeed. A few minutes are spent constructing the track into something solid and meaningful. A gentle pace is created by a non-intrusive beat, light and springy bass and a dainty sprinkle of notes played by a backing synth. The breakdown introduces some cool spacey sounds, a cool whispered vocal sample (from which the track must get its name) and the makings of a beautifully rendered piano based lead. The piano melody sits snugly on top of some well placed bass notes and some subtle background synths, but it's when the track drops back in that you realise the true beauty of this one. The rhythms and flow created by the emotional and evocative melody really are sublime. You can hear all of the different parts to this piece, and appreciate them all - separately or all at once - they are all used at exactly the right moments and create another wonderful piece of music from Finity.

2) Pure & Sweet (Pasi Korhonen Remix)
Pasi Korhonen has taken 'Pure & Sweet' in a very specific direction - fast forward! The beat is now tough and strong, the percussion is more in your face and the bassline is active, energetic and deeeep. That wonderful piano presents itself, its melody and the vocal samples during the breakdown in a rather cool breakbeat led section. There are some great atmospherics to be heard. From here, a really, really tough acid line comes out of nowhere and takes the track on a super powered trip of beats bass and electrifying high energy right out until the end. A surprising and totally enjoyable remix!

Conclusion:
Some great music here. The original is fantastic - the piano melody just melts me every time. pasi Korhonen's remix is superb due to it's energy injection whilst still retaining the cool bits from the original.

Tempo Giusto vs Jace - Pure & Sweet

Finity's latest is a single by Tempo Giusto vs Jace, two fresh talents from Finland. "Pure & Sweet" is a deep underground progressive trancer featuring a prominent acid riff and an overall dark theme. On the flip comes a remix from Finity resident Pasi Korhonen, bringing forth a punchy, driving production. Let's take a further look...

Original Mix

Simple, dated percussion starts things off, mostly dominated by closed hats. A few FX hits here and there give the track a bit of atmosphere before things get going. After the percussion builds somewhat, a sudden appearance of a stabbing synth and stuttering vox brings forth an almost hard dance-like bassline. The synth selection doesn't improve for a while and things continue a driving but dated feeling. An interesting arp of sorts emerges a minute later and soon enough the track begins to unwind and the breakdown emerges. A few synthy stabs hold our attention before the theme drops in. A few interesting synthetic piano and piano-like riffs sound off and on. Whispering vox work their way in as well, along with a teasing sine bassline. The theme appears, first outlined by the piano, then backed up by the sine bassline and some pad hits. A rolling kick and white noise sweep usher in the chorus, which features the piano, bassline and some subtle pads. The bassline really isn't appealing at all, especially at this point. Overall there isn't anything that truly stands out about this track, making it blend in with a good amount of excess music as of late. A good effort overall but there's a lot lacking in this production. The chorus eventually dissipates and the track slowly comes to an end thereafter.

Pasi Korhonen Remix

Punchy, techy percussion start things off which begins to build instantly. A few rich pad sweeps aid in a few transitions, and a sweet bitcrushing sweep and an acid riff bring forth a driving bassline, some hi hats and a background acid sequence. Already this mix is shaping up to be rather nice. Another array of live effects adds a nice edge and transition to the track, bringing in some chopped vox and a sine blip. The track drops off into the breakdown with a flanged snare. The piano that emerges in the break sounds a bit better, backed by a pluck, loads of FX and is covered in flange. A neat breakbeat emerges, adding some variation and danceability to the breakdown, backed by a bass pad. It all drops off and a sweep brings in an oldskool TB303 acid riff. Funky as hell! The track builds up with FX hits and sweeps as well as a rolling kick and snare. The chorus is pretty badass; the acid riff, bassline and full-on percussion is featured and meanwhile the acid riff builds up. The track cuts off for a second and that cheesy vox whispers something and within a split second, the track kicks back in. The acid rebuilds again only for the track to drop into a small break, featuring thin pads and that piano riff before kicking back up again. The lead acid is gone at this point and the track slowly begins losing layers and coming to a close. Overall this is a much stronger production and is much more appealing. Catchy riffs, solid percussion, great arrangement, great use of effects, and top-notch production quality culminate to create something special.

In conclusion...

A decent release in summary with the strongest track being the Pasi Korhonen remix. The original sadly sounds quite dated and could use some improvement. 3.5/5 for this one.
