The Riel Deal: He is being tipped by Tiësto as “the hottest producer around” and by DJ Magazine as “the next big thing to hit trance”. He’s already DJed at Germany’s illustrious Love Parade and spun with Tiësto on his worldwide ‘ISOS5’ Tour. A few years ago he didn’t own a single piece of studio equipment… Now he’s odds-on favourite to become EDM’s next big breakout and the latest graduate to join trance music’s elite ‘Van Clan’. He is Sied van Riel...

The Riel Inspiration: Aged just 10 years old, Sied’s introduction to dance music came via Acid House. Unknowingly piped through the walls by his neighbours, he was instantly hooked on the anomalous sounds & beats he heard...

The Riel-eases: A long-term dance fan he was, but it wasn’t until early 2006 that Sied produced his first track, ‘Fearless’. Released on Sub Traxx, it was smashed by early advocate Tiësto and proved to be a vital first strike in his music career. Midway through the same summer his follow-up ‘My Dreams’ (released on Expedition this time) saw another superstar DJ take up the championing mantle. Paul van Dyk used the track on his ‘World’s No.1 Victory Mix’ CD, commenting that it had “one unique sound that made it rock!”

The search was on for a spiritual label home for Sied’s music, and it didn’t take too long to find it. Dutch super-label Spinnin’ Records signed him and 2007 quickly saw the dancefloor monsters ‘Changing Places’ and ‘Sigh’ emerge.

The Riel Musical Philosophy: Sied describes his brand of music as “deep, driving, warm, melodic-fuelled trance” with each track or remix “directly related to my personality, experiences and state of mind”.

Darude





His DJ style is a mix of progressive & uplifting trance, but hes not too shy to
throw in some tech, breaks and house flavor with even the occasional heavy metal
samples. His goal is to get arms waving, feet moving and hips shaking! He
quickly obtained remarkable success as a DJ. After only one year of official
DJing, he was voted by his fans onto such renowned charts as The DJ Mags Top
100 of 2004 (UK) & BPM Magazines Americas Favorite DJ list 2004, 2005 & 2006
(trance/commercial DJ) and in addition he gained a solid spot on The DJ
List.com´s chart (www.thedjlist.com).

Interest in Darude is at an all-time high, which can be seen in his ever
increasing website hits each month, his solid presence on Myspace, the
gig requests that keep pouring in and his invitations to take part in industry
leading conferences, such as the Billboard Dance Music Summit and WMC in Miami.
