bringing you the house sounds of the big apple...

BILL PATRICK:: 112 crew NYC USA

Being asked to hold a residency at your favorite club is a dream come true for any DJ. But when it’s alongside two of the best DJ’s in the world, Danny Tenaglia and Danny Howells, there are no words to describe the feeling. And so it is for Bill Patrick, with only four years behind the decks, the 25 year old holds one of the most impressive residencies in the world. Club Arc, formally known as Vinyl, in New York City is without a doubt one of the best. With an Audio System designed by Steve Dash (Phazon) and a lineup of guests that include Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg, Lee Burridge, Ritchie Hawtin, Sven Vath, and Deep Dish to name a few, Arc is now Bill’s playground.
A love for the music that started in 1998, Bill would frequent the legendary club Twilo almost every Friday until its closing in 2001. From day one he knew DJing was his calling. Starting out playing for friends and small lounges and bars, Bill quickly made a name for himself and in a short time has played at some of the best clubs in New York, as well as numerous clubs and lounges in cities up and down the East Coast including Boston, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Philadelphia. To label his sound with one word would be a sin. Deep, dubby, techy, percussive, sexy, soulful, funky, REFRESHING.
Simply put: He spins quality house music.
Bill was featured on Danny Howell’s website in February 2002 as the guest dj of the month. Influences such as Danny, Carl Cox, Josh Wink, and Danny Tenaglia can be heard throughout one of Bill's sets. "I try to incorporate many different sounds into a set...from the deepest house to the most tripped-out techno…making sure not to pigeon-hole myself into any one genre".
As of the new year, a brand new monthly residency has begun for Bill. He and the rest of the 112 Crew have joined forces with Worship Recordings to lay down a smooth foundation of house music at club Fluid in Philadelphia. Residencies are nothing new for Bill. He joined forces last year with Gatecrasher, holding a monthly residency for the British superclub's summer events in New York. It was a huge achievement for him and grabbed the attention of many Dj’s and promoters throughout the scene.
In June 2001, Bill was honored to play his first international gig at Club El Rey in Argentina and has since returned for two more performances at El Campo. Playing in front of over 1500 people for an average of six hours, his sets at El Campo have rocked the inland of Argentina and has quickly become a fan favorite amongst the people of Cordoba. Bill’s international travels have also taken him to Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Costa Rica, and Ibiza. In December, he headlined a 3 city, 2 week tour of Argentina sponsored by Camel Geniune Sound. A hugely successful tour that ended with a tremendous gig in the city of Rosario in front of 7000 people.
The traveling is something he will need to get use too, after the announcement of his Arc residency, the emails and booking requests have been pouring in from clubs all over the world. With interest from Europe to Asia to South America, Bill’s frequent flyer miles will be adding up fast.
The love and dedication for the music has been the driving force behind Bill Patrick's rapid success. While his career is still in the blooming stages, he is on a course to make waves throughout the global scene and is definitely one of the most promising up and coming dj’s out there.
