Finally listened this one, absolutely superb stuff! As you might have guessed, I really liked the first two tracks, nice melodic stuff. Then the mix goes bit deeper, third track would really rock the dancefloor! Liked the oppressive(?) atmopshere in that Scope track.
The track I was really looking forward to hear was a remix of classic tune, One Earth Beat. I really like stuff by BarBQ, so my expectations were really high. Have to say that I still like the old trance mixes more :) The sound went bit too deep and too techno for my taste in the middle section, but that 16 bit lolitas mix was quite good. But then again, they are my favourite producers at the moment :) Deep vibes by Joshua Collins are also close to my heart, not sure if I would've liked the original mix better :) Breakdown in The Run is pretty \o/, and the track is groovy as well, have to buy it myself too!
Moving toward more energetic tracks, this is more my cup of tea:) Presslaboys - 80s end, what a tune, really love those vangelisque strings! Nice drive in this one as well. Love the trancy vibe in this part of the set, nice housey tracks with some oldskoolish melodies:) That unsigned track is pretty weird but works in that part to bring something different after those two melodic tracks, nice move!
And then..Sam Ball. Excellent producer! Really love both tracks, "elegant" stuff and would work so well on the dancefloor, especially that Almond. Nice! Never heard that Tageschau before..what a belter! I havent even listened this track till the end and I have to say that it is one the best tracks I've heard in months! What a builder! Will definately support this one, thanks for introducing it :) Really love this kind of stuff these days. The structure of the mix is really really good, and this would've worked well on the dancefloor. Groovy stuff with some emotional tunes here and there, works for me :) Maybe one or two vocal tracks would've worked..dunno, as I said it was a damn good mix this way as well! Hope you have found some good parties in North Carolina and see you soon :)(:
