Veli-Pekka Vuorela was born in Lappeenranta 27th of July 1984 where as Niko Silventoinen was born in Pieksämäki 30th of March in same year. Together they are Wegez & Nic'Silver, the trance-duo from Finland.
It all began in 1999 when Vellu and Niko first met during a school video project. Almost immediately they started practicing how to produce electronic music. They practiced producing from 1999 until 2003.
2004
Vellu and Niko got their first cd-players, turntables and mixers. That year was their first in deejaying, and they performed separately as solo artists. That was until January 2005, when they started a project together, called Wegez & Nic'Silver.
2006
During spring time, they started producing again and in autumn 2006, they got invited to one of the most famous producing groups in Finland, called HelsinkiVibes and started co-operating with the HelsinkiVibes crew.
2008
In the summer guys hit the jackpot, when they got signed by one of the biggest trance organizations in Finland, Millennium. They were also nominated for 'The Best Domestic DJ 2008 in Finland' (by Discopress magazine). In same year, they obtained a title "the future floorfilling trance-duo".
2009
Their first single, called 'Skyline', got a label contract from an Estonian 'Blaya Music' and the release date will be in 2009. They also started co-operation with an American girl-band called 'Anything But Monday'. Their first remix for the girls was 'Still Standing'.
Wegez & Nic'Silver style is varied from progressive and banging house all the way to uplifting trance with kicking beats. On stage their main goal is to create the unique "WNS sound", which you won't forget, as well as their style taking the crowd with a style 'hands up in the air'.
The future is bright for Wegez & Nic'Silver. They are still young, alive & kicking and the rising is swift. The world is their oyster.
