PROTEUS - THE EP (METAL/VENLA)
"Finland's Proteus gatecrashed the DJ Mag Top 100 poll last year for the first time, and one can't help but draw comparisons to Japan's Yoji Biomehanika, with each playing nosebleed hard trance and having outlandish looks and dominating stage presence. His Teflon Bullet label is about to launch in the run up to his forthcoming compilation CD 'The Hellfire Club', so what better time to catch one of the fastest rising stars in hard dance? 'Metal' is a roaring slab of stadium NRG, featuring crisp percussion and wild pitch bending synth squeals that rev up like a motorbike at full throttle.
