--- DJ : Playing records since 1999, Sergei Shkuroff made his way up from small underground basement raves to biggest clubs in Finland, like Laserpoint, Säde, Millennium, Tranzexperience, House Nation and Labyrinth as well as international events like Cream, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Gallery, Ministry of Sound, Storm, Tidy and legendary Amnesia and Judgement Sundays in Ibiza, spinning alongside such a names as Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, Markus Schultz, Westbam, Marusha, Eddie Halliwell, Tidy Boys, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules, Marcel Woods, Cosmic Gate, Agnelli & Nelson, Rank 1, Signum, Matt Darey, Mike Koglin, Gareth Emery, Thrillseekers, Lange, John 00 Fleming, David West, Airbase, S.H.O.K.K., K90, Organ Donors, Lisa Pin-Up, Scot project, Airwave, Paul Glazby, Orkidea and Proteus to name just a few. In Finland DJ Championship 2002 Sergei became 5th, which is a solid proof of his technical skills. Well-known around Finland from his multistyle genre-breaking dj sets, Shkuroff spins regularly all over the country and as far abroad as legendary Ibiza, United Kingdom, Slovakia, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Norway, Estonia and Latvia, runs weekly radio show "MADWAVE ON AIR" on major FM radio station Sputnik 106.9 Mhz in Helsinki and holds long term residency at trance / hard dance night Madwave. --- PROMOTER : Sergei promotes his own monthly trance / hard dance club called MADWAVE in Tampere. Founded by Sergei Shkuroff in 1999, Madwave has grown up from 30 people illegal basement parties to sucsessful monthly clubbing for over than 500 people. In 2008, with reputation of events with quality atmosphere and best Finnish djs and live acts like Orkidea, Proteus, Slusnik Luna, Carbon Based & ALT+F4, as well as famous guests from abroad like Warp Brothers, Matt Darey, David West, The Thrillseekers, Jon O'Bir, Gareth Emery, Mike Koglin, S.H.O.K.K., K90, Organ Donors, Phil Reynolds, Airbase, Mike Shiver, Lee Haslam and Ali Wilson in line up, MADWAVE is well-known not only in Tampere, but all over Finland, being now for over than 10 years one of these few regular events in Finland's second biggest city. --- RADIO SHOW : Since late 2003 Sergei runs his own show called "MADWAVE ON AIR", which is the only electronic dance music & club culture related radio show in Finland's second biggest city, Tampere. Show started its broadcasts in 2003, in order to provide quality trance & progressive house music to the clubbers in area. One hour slot always includes hot new tunes, club gossip, event reviews, essential classics and guest dj mixes from world's biggest dj's like Lange, Mike Koglin, Stephane K and K90 . In the beginning show has been broadcasted every other Wednesday, but due to excellent feedback MADWAVE ON AIR received from listeners, now show can be listened every Monday from 21 till 22. Nowadays Sergei also does 2 hour weekly show under the same name on UK internet radio station Example FM, every Friday from 20:00 till 22:00 ( www.examplefm.net ). Tune in and enjoy!
--- PRODUCER : Always being more than interested in producing his own tracks, in 2004 Sergei finally got his chance to challenge himself with making tunes. He joined forces with no less than Joonas Hahmo, one half of such projects as ALT+F4, Avanto & Magellan Project. The result of this collaboration was a trance track called "Firefly", which was remixed by Matti Kotala under the name of Magellan Project and received exellent crowd reaction on the dancefloors. After this first experience, second piece of action called "Sonar" shortly followed, being this time dark tech trance monster. While "Sonar" is out now on no less than leading UK trance label Five AM records, receiving massive support form biggest names in industry, Sergei is currently working on his next tune and some remixes for known Finnish producers.

"The first of the four tracks is 'Sonar' by Sergei Shkuroff. It is a slow building track but it carries a feeling of determination, mostly from the chunky beats and excellently created sfx. It kicks in with an awesome bassline. It's a filthy dirty, grinding sound which is accompanied by some spacey sounding synths which have much more of a 'twang' to them than a stab. They create a strong, dark feeling which is amplified with their combination with that wicked bassline. The dark, driving energy continues after the break but it doesn't make this track any less interesting - it just sounds great! --- DJ : Playing records since 1999, Sergei Shkuroff made his way up from small underground basement raves to biggest clubs in Finland, like Laserpoint, Säde, Millennium, Tranzexperience, House Nation and Labyrinth as well as international events like Cream, Godskitchen, Gatecrasher, Gallery, Ministry of Sound, Storm, Tidy and legendary Amnesia and Judgement Sundays in Ibiza, spinning alongside such a names as Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Sasha, Markus Schultz, Westbam, Marusha, Eddie Halliwell, Tidy Boys, Sander van Doorn, Judge Jules, Marcel Woods, Cosmic Gate, Agnelli & Nelson, Rank 1, Signum, Matt Darey, Mike Koglin, Gareth Emery, Thrillseekers, Lange, John 00 Fleming, David West, Airbase, S.H.O.K.K., K90, Organ Donors, Lisa Pin-Up, Scot project, Airwave, Paul Glazby, Orkidea and Proteus to name just a few. --- RADIO SHOW : Since late 2003 Sergei runs his own show called "MADWAVE ON AIR", which is the only electronic dance music & club culture related radio show in Finland's second biggest city, Tampere. Show started its broadcasts in 2003, in order to provide quality trance & progressive house music to the clubbers in area. One hour slot always includes hot new tunes, club gossip, event reviews, essential classics and guest dj mixes from world's biggest dj's like Lange, Mike Koglin, Stephane K and K90 . In the beginning show has been broadcasted every other Wednesday, but due to excellent feedback MADWAVE ON AIR received from listeners, now show can be listened every Monday from 21 till 22. Nowadays Sergei also does 2 hour weekly show under the same name on UK internet radio station Example FM, every Friday from 20:00 till 22:00 ( www.examplefm.net ). Tune in and enjoy!
--- PRODUCER : Always being more than interested in producing his own tracks, in 2004 Sergei finally got his chance to challenge himself with making tunes. He joined forces with no less than Joonas Hahmo, one half of such projects as ALT+F4, Avanto & Magellan Project. The result of this collaboration was a trance track called "Firefly", which was remixed by Matti Kotala under the name of Magellan Project and received exellent crowd reaction on the dancefloors. After this first experience, second piece of action called "Sonar" shortly followed, being this time dark tech trance monster. While "Sonar" is out now on no less than leading UK trance label Five AM records, receiving massive support form biggest names in industry, Sergei is currently working on his next tune and some remixes for known Finnish producers.

"The first of the four tracks is 'Sonar' by Sergei Shkuroff. It is a slow building track but it carries a feeling of determination, mostly from the chunky beats and excellently created sfx. It kicks in with an awesome bassline. It's a filthy dirty, grinding sound which is accompanied by some spacey sounding synths which have much more of a 'twang' to them than a stab. They create a strong, dark feeling which is amplified with their combination with that wicked bassline. The dark, driving energy continues after the break but it doesn't make this track any less interesting - it just sounds great! The unrelenting menace of the bass and the synths will drive a dancefloor effortlessly.
