This month I'm with a guest (not been for many months, or years perhaps...). Well, the guest is my absolute favorite from Finland, DJ Homegrove whose ability to create so groovy and all encompassing whole pieces of music in form of a dj mix is unbelivable. When I yesterday listened to his guest mix, my jaw was open probably the whole set :D So, the Digweed of Finland, bold and beautiful, mr. Homegrove is with us again delivering what he's best at: a monster mix with blasts from the past.

From myself you can expect to hear a lot of melodies in a imaginable way you have already probably got used to hear from me :) featured artists are for example:
Hybrid, Gui Boratto, Kaito, Bent, Pryda, Seb Dhajje, Nic Fanciulli, Redanka... to name a few.

Tune in tonight @ frisky radio!

This month I'm honored to have a guest DJ from Lithuania, one of the finest on the Baltic electronic music scene, Marius Ivanoff.

One of the Baltic’s most forward thinking club artists, Marius is recognised as one of the most influential dance artists of the past decade. He has started his career 14 years ago, in a dawn of Lithuania’ club life. Through his career Marius has become a multiple winner in DJ competitions, 4 times became the best Lithuanian DJ.

The genuine work for Marius Ivanoff had started when he began to work with DJ Mindaugėlis in 1998. From then Marius and Mindaugėlis sets “bak to back” were fascinating lubbers in Lithuania and year by year they have got more and more fans in countries around.

In 2001 the most famous Lithuania’ DJs Marius Ivanoff and Mindaugėlis have founded an event organizing agency „Pure Production“, which in the beginning mostly was organizing events with little stars from abroad. After some time small, but frequent events in different towns gave its huge results. The events with little stars from abroad became popular, demand of this kind events turned up in Lithuania, which had never been before. The only problem was people’ purchasing power, lack of contacts with foreign agencies and absence of supporters – what didn’t let to organize a really high level, worldwide dance music events.

He has become synonymous with Baltics and part of eastern europe countries over the last ten years gracing the decks regulary at most famous clubs and festivals. After a couple of years traveling around with solo gigs visiting mostly all the dancing spots and doing very strong feedbacks and remixes, Marius and Mindaugelis have decided to come back to roots with massive tour gigs supported already 10 years anniversary back2back on the scene. Over 2009 Marius and Mindaugelis have enjoyed success together playing and being a headliners at the Amate Raxi club Anniversary party at Tokyo it is clear that Marius & Mindaugelis are in the spotlights!

Soon will be released (release date planning on end of 2010) Marius & Mindaugelis (M&M) first studio album with only their own productions and remixes. Their release schedule is crammed! They get requests from known deejays and producers worldwide that want to co-produce and remix their music. From progressive hotshots Stu Hirst to progressive house heroes Sultan and MTV Awarded Lithuanian producer Andrius Alien from Happyendless.

The show is back! Once again, hah ;) After missing previous two shows the show is now back with probably more effort and eclectic sound than ever before! Expect to hear various sounds from movie soundtracks and nu-disko/deep-house beats to groovy techno and progressive epic sounds.

Eclectic is the word for this evening.

Hans Zimmerman, Nick Warren, Silicone Soul, Einmusik, King Roc, Chymera, Satoshi Fumi, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed, Dave Seaman, Spooky, Pig & Dan...

This months show is something different: I'm introducing to you here two parts of the show of which especially the Part1 should be rather interesting. Over there I have compiled tracks from the 80s, 90s and 00s and what makes this different is the narrative nature of all of the tracks included there. Expect to hear music from Klaus Schulze, Jon Hopkins, Bliss, Michael Stearns, Solar Quest, Woob, The Infinity Project.

The second part is more of the usual style on my Frisky Shows: epic, melancholic and darkish with hints of sunshine here and there. Featured artists are Sistema, Max Cooper, Portishead, James Holden, Eelke Kleijn, Glenn Morrison, Charlie May...

So this is by far probably the most interesting show in many years if you ask me :)
