Style: Breaks, Drum'n'Bass
Jaywink found his interests in electronic music in the early 90's through the likes of The Orb, Prodigy and 808 State. He played his first club gig around the year 2000 with a set consisting of club house. Soon through various phases and movements between styles he found broken beat & breakbeat, the sounds that brought him into electronic music in the first place.
At the end of 2002 he was taken as a resident DJ into Children of Dub, an organization devoted to promoting breaks parties in southern Finland. Since then he has been playing regularly at parties around Finland and also abroad at the finest clubs in St. Petersburg.
Since 2004 Jay has been promoting his own nights under the name Bass Heroes. A project that started as a solo project for promoting breaks has now grown into an organization consisting of several dj's and with an aim to promote regular breaks/drum'n'bass events in southern Finland.
Current projects also include a weekly Bass Heroes show on NuBreaks, a breaks/drum'n'bass netradio.
Depending on the mood of the venue Jay's sets will be anything from full-on bass heavy breaks, the hardest drum'n'bass or more down tempo broken beats. One thing is for sure - there will be bass and there will be lots of it.
