Coma AKA Tero Civill, ½ of Easy Coma, Syv2 Un1, etc..
In 1987 Tero received two acid house mixtapes from his friends, in the process introducing him to the cutting edge of 80's electronic music - and encouraging him to spend the majority of his earnings on vinyl, synthesizers and traveling to rising numbers of warehouse parties all over Finland. Finally in 1991 it was his turn to start "resonating the windows".
The 1992 the UK breakbeat frenzy had a big impact on the old hip hop and punk head. There was no turning back, when the first releases of 1993 came out from labels such as Eye-Q, Guerrilla and Harthouse, combining breakbeats and those electronic elements that made Tero's spine tingle. They seemed to fit the picture of the dark and dirty warehouses and clubs in the industrial city of Tampere, and struck an immediate chord. Eventually it was time to start organizing warehouse parties and dedicating life to this hobby that got out of hand!
Nowadays he hosts his weekly radio show 'Sunday Coma' on Bassoradio, runs his studios/production company Aaltomuoto, and is busy doing all things DJ'ing. He just finished a record breaking six year deal as a resident DJ of one of the hottest clubs in Helsinki, Club Pussy. His productions have already been busting sales charts and heard at sets from DJ's such as Hybrid, Cass, Deep Dish, Slacker, Moshic, Palash (Saeed & Palash) and Dave Dresden (Gabriel & Dresden) among others. Finnish clubbers have also voted him many times to the top ten at Finnish Club Awards 'Best DJ of the year' category. In 2003 the same awards show brought him a nomination in the 'Best Artist/Producer of the year' category. He has also performed live sets at different events ranging from illegal warehouse parties to massive festivals, including biggest electronic music festival in Scandinavia, Koneisto, as well as Denmarks infamous Roskilde festival.
During the years he has spent some great moments behind the decks. As his most memorable ones DJ'ing he rates the last Club Pussy night held on the closing weekend of the legendary club Kerma in Helsinki, with Pete Heller and Kimik (U&K). Back to back sets with the likes of Mike Truman (Hybrid), Slacker and Andry Nalin (of Nalin & Kane) wont either be fading away from Teros memories quite easily. Besides that, he has shared the stage with the names such as Tom Superchumbo Stephan, Tiésto, Cass, Sander Kleinenberg, Dimitry, Pete Heller, Omid 16B Nourizadeh, Ian Ossia, Tarrentella & Redanka, Rowan Blades, Lee Coombs and many many more.
