Filosofinen kysymys: Onko levy jonka on tilannut helmikuussa ja jonka cdon.com toimittaa - sensaatiomaisesti! - kotiin elokuussa ja jota asiakas ei ole vielä maksanut "levy jonka osti viimeksi"? No, on tai ei, kotona odottaa laitevikojen paisuttaman kuuntelujonon jatkeena nyt ensimmäinen käsiini saama Telexin (siis tämän Belgian Telexin) levy "How do you dance?" (2006). Oikeasti minä olisin kiinnostuneempi niistä 70/80-lukujen vanhoista älppäreistä, mutta tämä Telex on osoittautunut yllättävän hankalaksi väijyttäväksi. Onkohan niiden vanhaa katalogia edes julkaistu cd:nä? Ei sillä, että minä odottaisin sieltä löytyvän mitään YMO:n, Yellon tai Art of Noisen tasoista aikalaismusiikkia (enteilen jotain Devon kaltaista), mutta on tälläkin bändillä kuitenkin jonkin tasoinen asema teknokulttuurin esihistoriassa (vaikka se onkin osallistunut Euroviisuihin).

Olin Säde UG:n jälkeen, joskin vasta sunnuntaina kaupunkiköpsöttelyllä ja osuin Hietsun kirpputorille, jossa oli aika vähän myyjiä kun kesään vertaa. Jäin siellä turisemaan yhden rokkarin kanssa, joka myi cd-levyjä vitosella. Ostinkin muutaman, toinen oli Public Enemyn "It takes a nation of millions to hold us back". Se on ollut minulla ennestäänkin vinyylinä - ja jos ihminen aikoo omistaa vain yhden hipetihop/räpetiräp -levyn, niin se olkoon tuo. Ei sen polemian ja paatoksen takana tarvitse seistä, mutta ne 80-luvun lopun kiukkuiset konesoundit on jotain!

Se toinen oli Lou Reedin "Ecstasy", jolla ei ole nimestään huolimatta tekemistä rave-historian synkemmän puolen kanssa. Eikä kyllä iloisemmankaan, mutta kiukkua löytyy siltäkin.
