DJ ORKIDEA ALBUM RELEASE TOUR
On 24th of October 2003 Universal Music will release Orkideas debut
album Taika. It will feature selection of Orkideas remixes and own
productions from 1998 till 2003. Included are classic trance productions
such as Unity, Stage One (Orkidea remix) and Rush (Super8 vs
Orkidea remix) favoured by Sasha & Digweed, Paul Oakenfold and DJ
Tiesto and featured on Renaissance, Gatecrasher and Ministry CD
compilations. Taika has also four previously unreleased tracks like
Beautiful, Melancholy & Inner Peace.
To celebrate the album release Orkidea will do a 15 date tour around
Finland covering all major cities from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. These
dates will feature a 2 hour DJ / laptop-live hybrid set combining his own
and 12 material. Orkidea will be joined by fellow DJs Kalle Miettinen,
Elliot Ness, Kimik, Jori Hulkkonen and Oded Peled just to name a few.
Tour is brought to by Minimal - same people responsible for last winters
Nightflight Tour around Finland. Many of these events are organised
together with well established finnish club promoters like Unity, Fantasy,
Clockwork and Impulse.

DJ BIOGRAPHYS:
ELLIOT NESS
Eliot Ness was resident DJ of Finland´s first techno club and first Finnish
DJ to appear abroad. He has been DJing since 1987 all over Europe
and was the first Scandinavian DJ to appear abroad at worlds largest
events such as Love Parade, Mayday, Universe and DMC World
Championships where he twice won third place. He has played
alongside Prodigy and Public Enemy and promoted legendary events
such as Planet of Love and Members of Mayday.
ODED PELED
Many dreams have come true to Oded since his early years as a DJ.
He has gotten to play with artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Roger
Sanchez, Dimitri, Mr. C, Dave Clarke and been a supporting DJ for
many TWISTED America parties around Europe. Oded has also
played in most of the prestigious events and clubs around Finland.
He is co-owner of one of Scandinavia\'s leading DJ booking agencies
Misc Management.
DJ KALLE MIETTINEN
Kalle Miettinen is one of the best known DJs in Finland. Since \'98 he has
been hosting a nation wide dance show Dancemob Lite in Radiomafia/YleX
which gathers some of the biggest audiences in Finland. In his ten years
career Kalle has been DJing in the best clubs of Finland and is also one the
founders of successful Finnish house group Nuoska.
DJ ORKIDEA
DJ Orkidea has been one of Scandinavias top DJs for over 10 years.
He is Renaissance Worldwide Helsinki resident and has played around
the world in Berlin, Ibiza, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Toronto with Paul van
Dyk, BT and Tiesto. He has recorded and remixed for Black Hole,
Vandit & Hooj Choons labels and Renaissance, Gatecrasher and
Ministry of Sound mix-CDs and he has written and produced score
music for three films and various TV-ads.
