KINOS
Kinos is a band that plays electroacoustic dance music. The instrumentation is based on drums, sequencers, bass, synthesizers, vocals and wind instruments. The music of Kinos is a unique combination of different genres of music such as jungle, electro, acid, techno and dub. Kinos was formed at the end of nineties with the concept of playing club music with a live band. Kinos had it´s most active period between the years 2000-2004. Gigs were played mostly in the clubs of Helsinki and at electronic music festivals such as Koneisto. After 2004 Kinos had a break of ten years which will now finish in a reunion gig at Vihreet Linjat club in the bar Torvi of Lahti.
MIAZU
Miazu started dreaming of becoming a dj at a very early age and she applied to a course on an youth project. However, not surprisingly they didn’t want to welcome girls. Sparked by a dream, reinforced by the scene, she practiced with friends, until her dream finally came true. October 2003 she got a change to play at a party and she haven’t stopped since. By now, it’s more like a lifestyle than anything else, and she is constanly improving her skills and just recently she got into actual composing of music. Through out the years she has gained reputation as a highly energetic and charismatic djane. She feels almost obliged to share the feeling with others, channelling strong positivity to all the people on the dance floor... She is playing around many countries like Spain , Russia, Portugal , Sweden , Austria , Hungary , Estonia, France, Germany , Serbia, Liethua, Latvia . Her passion is to be totaly conected with this family and same vibe . Music gives a wings and she show it to U too. Miazu are a pioneering on Finnish psy trance scene and culture, having played, created amazing events and brought some of the biggest names in global underground psy music scene to Finland since 2005. Under the name People of the Butterflies crew, founded in 2007, they organise events and festivals and release free albums and compilations. They’ve also been one of the Finnish emissaries of psy music, having played internationally on most of the established European festivals, among them Fullmoon, Antaris, Hadra, Systo, Konemetsä, gaggalacka festivals . She will celebrate this year 10 year career of playing psychedelic trance.
Also she support female energy and with her friends they organizer girl events in Finland . And lucky she is part of Magnetica female agency around globe . Now she is part of Sangoma records, Exogenic records, Mechanik Records & Banyan records.
INKERI TÄHTI
Inkeri Tähti's roots are digged deep in the Helsinki underground psychedelic scene in its many forms. Her tastes in music have evolved from psychedelic trance music via dub, ambient, drum and bass, worldbeat, dubstep, bass music and all kinds of stuff you can find from your friends' record shelves, being surrounded by people representing all kinds of genres and producing all kinds of sounds. She worked at Exogenic Records for three years around 2007-2010 and has been involved in many legendary projects such as Konemetsä, Bitch and Neo. She has produced the alternative side of the psy trance radio show Back To Mad, and has arranged Slow and Avaruusasema clubs, dedicated to bass embracing psychedelia, dubstep and chill out.
ALIMO
Dj alimo bad boy of beats and styles real name Asmo Soivio bought he's first technics sl 1200 turntables when he was 11 year old and strated deejaying in school parties.. 1996 he discovered jungle and drum and bass music and started first regular drum and bass Club night called Bassment in Finland.. He started he's record shop Union Five Records & promotion agency bigsound Helsinki and brought top uk drum'n'bass artist like Shy Fx, Doc Scott, Rob Playford, Subject 13, Dj Ss, Bill Riley, Dj Krust, Dj Marky, Ez-rollers, Dj Addiction, Grooverider, Adam F, J majik, Goldie, Dom & Roland, Brian G to name few.. He also had he's Radio Show called Drum'n'bass Sessions in Radio nrj every saturday night and Tv Show named Beats and styles in local Tv station Atv, 2001 he felt that he's stock in one music style and scene and started play Uk Garage/2 step and set he's own record label named Beats and Styles and started produce and write music with Dj Control and signed Contract with BMG.. After he's first album Alimo&Control he dicade to call whole project Beats and styles and get major contract with Sony Music. He did 4 albums with Sony Bmg and reach 1. national chart and end up to make crossover electronic dance pop music.. He has collaborations with various artist like Mike Monroe, Papa dee, Jus Red, Richie Dan, Slarta John and many more. . He signed publishing deal with Sony Atv and since 2007 he's been take it easy and make experimental electronic pop music..
At the moment Alimo is focused to work as a dj who combines differents styles of music from Liquid Funk, Deep House, Break Beat , Disco, Synth wawe, reggae, jungle, drum and bass to jazz and fusion.. It is easier to call it simply beats and styles.
BREIK
Started to Burn down Babylon's walls at Punky Reggae Party club in 2002 in Helsinki. Dj Breik presents bass sound with reggae, dubstep and roots ragga-jungle with a bit of psy. Now as a crew Dj for AURA and People Of The Butterflies in Finland.
PAPA CHILLY
Papa Chilly alias Aki Rujala started djing in the late 90's by playing all kinds of music like reggae, trip hop, hip hop, dub, dnb and electronic dance music. He’s been actively performing all across Finland since 2004, and organizing events in his hometown Lahti since 2000. He is also a founding member of the group Savusound. Papa plays a selection of reggae, dub and dubstep, not forgetting ragga jungle, drum & bass and exclusive Savusound dubplates. His sets are versatile and guaranteed to make you move your feet.
