Three previously unreleased tracks from Shingo Nakamura's forthcoming "Only Silk 02" compilation are featured in the latest edition of "Royal Selections" on our imprint. The tracks in this package represent the more up-tempo sounds that Shingo is known to play at the end of his radio mixes and live sets.

First out of the pack is Shingo's own "The Four", a naturalistic and slightly melancholy progressive gem that showcases all of Shingo's great gifts as a musician. More specifically, a deep, pad-centered bass gives the track a powerful low-end weight, while crystalline arps and delicate piano themes gently float overhead. In the mean break, the central piano riff is given the full spotlight; it's truly one of most poignant themes Shingo has written to date.

Next up is British talent Outlook, a prolific progressive house artist who is responsible for a stellar oeuvre since 2011. His stormy progressive trance contribution, "Dynjandi", begins with a punchy kick and driving rhythm section, coupled with a high-octane bassline. A hypnotic, one-word vocal sample slowly emerges; the sample is extended into an ethereal full phrase in both breakdowns. Meanwhile, the groove continues to crescendo, in full, peak-hour glory, while lovely side piano melodies fill out the soundscape.

Last but not least, we are pleased to welcome Russian newcomer Stendahl with a fresh take on Mango feat. Richard J Aarden's "Pillow Fights". A buoyant groove and chord-based lead, very much in the Mango tradition, give the track an uplifting, floating-on-air quality, while Richard J Aarden's plaintive vocal offers an emotional counterpoint. The breakdown is a true highlight, as Aarden's vocal gets a fitting solo, followed by a very creative breakbeat interlude.
