A long wait is coming to an end. After a lengthy absence Club Sunset will be re-opening its doors on the 22nd of February at Playground in Helsinki. To celebrate this night we will provide you with a very special treat. For the first time in Club Sunset history we have the great pride and privilege to host the major talent synonymous with the U.K. acid techno scene Chris Liberator. Also joining our club resident Mr. Sinner to entertain you on this special night will be Niko Geselle of Mixxed fame. This night’s all about techno!

CHRIS LIBERATOR BIOGRAPHY

Chris Liberator is one of the most loved and respected acid techno DJs of all time. After more than 20 years in the industry, Chris has toured through the world playing at numerous club nights, festivals, underground raves and other events. Chris’ musical style of blending funky techno vibes to hard techno with an acid twist has been enjoyed year after year all over the U.K. and other locations in Europe as well as Japan, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, Israel, South Africa and throughout South America. Also, his influence in the starting days of the acid techno movement in Brazil and Venezuela is something that can’t go ignored.

After hundreds of releases and remixes by himself or in collaboration with artists such as D.A.V.E. The Drummer, D.D.R., Geezer aka. Guy Mcaffer and Ant, his music has been heard through many legendary labels. These include Stay Up Forever, Cluster, Eukatech, Routemaster, Highland Beats and numerous others. The highlights of this wondrous career have been the releases of One Night in Hackney (with D.A.V.E. The Drummer), London Acid City (with Lawrie Immersion) Soul Mantra, System Test, I’m Bored (with Sterling Moss), 3 Day Illegal Rave Party From Hell (with Punk Floyd) and many more.

Having appeared several times on DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs list with his highest rank at 36, this legendary artist also runs the Stay Up Forever collective of labels as well as Cluster, Maximum Minimum, Superconductor, Hive, Yolk and Wah Wah. Chris Liberator is a massive talent, who’ll leave no one cold!
