Ladies & Gents,
This latest compilation of tunes is perhaps a little tougher than my usual sound. Over the summer months i’ve immersed myself in all sorts of clubs across Ibiza, Spain and the UK. With a lot of techno and harder progressive sounds filtering into my eardrums, I thought to pull some tracks together to reflect my current mood in electronic music.
Paul Kalkbrenner’s ‘Altes Kamuffel’ is what techno is all about. Clear, crisp, rolling and deep. A producer who countlessly delivers top class tracks. Jay Lumen finds himself into yet another one of my mixes alongside producers Sander Van Doorn, Timmy & Tommy and DJ Remy.
On many occasions i’ve quoted that I am a fan of the ‘instrumental’ versions of tracks. This mix pretty much avoids vocal orientated tunes as well as any uplifting synths or piano stabs. However, it is only at the end that I couldn’t help but slip in an absolute piano-laden beauty: Jamie Stevens’s remix of GMJ’s ‘First there was sound’ ... A sensational track!
