BOY LAMOEN
Boy Lamoen (born June 4, 1982) may strike you as a calm and quiet boy. But once you put him behind the decks to get the crowd going, he leaves everything behind him. Cant stand still for even a second. Goosebumps all over the place when the party people in front of him put their hands in the air. For Boy Lamoen, spinning one of his own successful productions is the biggest blast of all. His sound is a mixture between techno, electro and trance, with a huge amount of funk and a lot of climaxes.
During his younger years, metal & punk was what he liked to listen to and even played with several bands. After eight years of guitar lessons, Boy makes a life
changing turn when he is 17 years old: he dedicates himself to dance music.
Together with Tom van der Heijden he starts Collusion. After only six months their first success is a fact: Impetuous reaches the number 1 position in the Dutch, Spanish, Suisse, Norwegian and Belgium dance charts. The track emerges on several
compilation cds and the associated video appears frequently at TMF and The Box (leading music television channels in the Netherlands). Followed by the hit Conspiracy (nr.1 Dutch, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish dance charts, Hyperstate 2002 Anthem), their name is made in the international dance industry. Besides producing, they travel around the country to perform for big and smaller audiences. Boys preference for trance music becomes obvious with Furthermost (Rider in the Sky), Boy and Toms 4th release, under the pseudonym Solicitous. Another massive hit, played by the big (international) trance masters. Hereafter the collaboration between Boy and Tom comes to an end. Accordingly, Boy Lamoen goes solo!
A new era arises, filled with performing in the clubs. And of course he continues producing and developing his music to the max. About six months after the Collusion
break up, Boy releases his first solo project: John Remedy Ventricle. Two months later, under a different name but with the same pumping energy, Lamoen Increase appears. Boy Lamoen is definitely not overlooked and very soon brought to the attention of Ti?sto, Armin van Buuren, Johan Gielen, Paul van Dyk én Jochen Miller. There happens to be a musical chemistry between Jochen Miller and Boy Lamoen. After some rendezvous and listening to each others tracks, they decide to have some fun together. The first result of this collaboration will be in the stores soon: Modena Resonator (including Cor Fijneman remix, Dedicated label United Recordings). Also his own new single is about to release, Boy Lamoen - Do you Think. Anita Kelsey (D*note - shed my skin/ Cor Fijneman - Healing) lent her beautiful voice to this track. With these productions and smashing performances (for example in
The Matrixx) Boy is expanding his borders. And the best is yet to come!
Eliot Ness
Eliot Ness, poika joka toi teknon Suomeen, tunnetaan muun muassa
maamme ensimmäisen teknoklubin, legendaarisen "Berlinin", residenttinä
ja Suomen ensimmäisinä tekno-dj:nä.
Hän aloitti soittamisen laittomissa warehouse-bileissä, josta siirtyi pian
järjestämään omia suosittuja tapahtumiaan ja 'salakuljettamaan'
ensimmäisenä uutta musiikkia maahan. Eliot saavutti pian tunnustusta
poikkeuksellisilla kyvyillään levysoittimien takana, sijoittuen kaksi kertaa
kolmanneksi huippuarvostetussa DMC Technics-DJ kilpailussa
Englannissa, ollen ainoa dj maailmassa joka selviytyi kolmena vuotena
peräkkäin MM-finaaleihin. Ei olekaan ihme että Nessi ansaitsi paikkansa
City-lehden Suomen 50 eniten nuorisokulttuuriin vaikuttaneen henkilön
joukossa.
Suurin osa Suomen isoista bileistä ja kovimmista ulkomaanvieraista 90-
luvulla oli Eliotin suunnittelemia ja järjestämiä alusta loppuun, kuten
kaikkien muistamat "Members of Mayday", Planet of Love ja House
Nation, ja vaikkapa legendaariset Airave lentokone bileet (Airbus 1997)
sekä artistit kuten The Prodigy, Paul Van Dyk, Richie Hawtin, Moby,
Aphex Twin ja sadat muut. Kotimaassaan Eliot on soittanut lähes
kaikkialla ja ulkomailla hän on esiintynyt yli kymmenessä maassa, mm.
Wembleyllä ja Royal Albert Hallissa Englannissa , sekä maailman
suurimmissa konemusiikkitapahtumissa kuten Love Parade, Universe ja
Mayday. Kokonainen sukupolvi suomalaisia klubbaajia tutustui teknoon
Eliot Nessin ohjauksella, ja moni nykypäivän tunnetuimmista
suomalaisista DJ:stä pitää häntä oppi-isänään ja on soittanut ensimmäiset
eikkansa hänen tapahtumissaan.
Viime vuosina Eliot on jatkanut radiouraansa mm. Ylen, Radio Mafian ja
Kissin jälkeen tehden omaa suosittua radio-ohjelmaansa Beat Boxia
Radio Helsingille, ja jatkanut aktiivista keikkailua ympäri Suomea ja
Eurooppaa. 2003 vuonna hän soitti mm. kahdessa vuoden suurimmassa
tapahtumassa: viimeisenä esiintyjänä Koneisto-festivaalin päälavalla ja
eräänä Entropy-teknojärjestön 10-vuotisjuhlien pääesiintyjistä. Tällä
hetkellä Eliot Ness on muun ohessa resident dj:nä suositussa [reiv:]-
klubissa. Kuten aina, musiikki ja yleisö ovat Eliotille ne tärkeimmät asiat,
ja soittaessaan hän pyrkiikin johonkin palkitsevampaan kuin vain tuttuun
ja turvalliseen hiteillä ratsastamiseen.

KAIU & SAKURA
Tanssilattiaa järisyttävistä bileseteistään tuttu kaksikko Kaiu &
Sakura tunnetaan tavastaan yhdistää seteissään linjattomasti
bassopitoista tech housea rullaavaan breaksiin. Nykytyylin taustalla
molemmilla on kuitenkin undergroundimpi historia. Kaiu aloitti
dj-uransa HYTKY ry:n riveissä 1990-luvun lopulla soittaen dub- ja
detroit-teknoa, kun taas Sakura järjesti viikoittaista Ever-klubia ja
keskittyi kierompaan teknoon. 2000-luvun alkupuolella he perustivat
yhdessä Bobby Speedin kanssa Local Underground -kollektiivin ja
laajensivat skaalaansa pitkälle monipuolisen, rullaavan klubisoundin
kiehtovaan maailmaan. Tämän jälkeen pojat ovatkin kiertäneet
soittamassa miltei kaikilla maan suosituimmilla klubeilla ja
suurimmissa kaupungeissa, suosion ollessa taattu.

Jagu
Jagu, eli Juuso Lehtinen on kovassa nosteessa oleva, uudemman
elektrosoundin sanansaattaja Helsingistä. Juuso aloitti levyjen
pyörittämisen vuonna 2000, keskittyen tuolloin perkussiiviseen
ruotsi- ja saksateknoon. Pikkuhiljaa pelkkä tekno alkoi kuitenkin
kyllästyttää, ja miehen tyyli otti vaikutteita uudemman saksaelektron
suunnalta. Jagun nykyistä tyyliä voisikin kuvailla elektron, teknon ja
progen hallittuna sekoituksena, joka lainaa parhaita puolia jokaisesta
genrestä.
Viimeisen vuoden aikana keikkaillut mm. @ Pussy, [reiv:], Backtobass,
Illumination, UV:UG, Berlin Bonbon, Konemetsä, ...
Klabi
Klabis interest towards djing awoke during the spring of 2000 when
he was put in front of a couple of decks and hard house vinyl was
shoved in his hands. The sound may not have remained the same but after
investing in some decks and a mixer he was off and running. After
delving into the world of trance and hard progressive beats for some
time his sound has developed over the years into what it is today.
Klabis current sets travel from smooth grooves of deep house into the
mind numbing world of twisted house and progressive beats. He does not
like to categorize himself into any genre but rather deliver a
multifaceted musical experience that will drive the audience into a
state of elation.
After his first public appearance at Club Diep on new years eve 2001,
over the years he has played at many of Helsinkis main house clubs;
VooDoo, Diep, Bootleg, Quality, Ever, 404, Zero 500 and Must. As well
as live sets on Sunday Sessions Radio, Beatbox @ Radio Helsinki, Trombi
Fm 105.5 Mhz, Tomon Talo 100.3 Mhz and Bassoradio.com.
During his career so far Klabi has had the pleasure of playing
alongside such dj talents as Wes from Plasticfantastic, Ian Pooley,
Wayne Fountain, Orkidea, Eliot Ness, Miika Kuisma, MrA, Super 8, Dallas
Superstars, Lil Tony, Proteus, Tomi K, Jay Mellin, Indigo, Unity
Collective, Samus Aran, Jagu, Unik, Disco_Joe, Xlk, Asaf Peled, Aslak,
D.N.A, Hiski & Pinnie, Jay Lamar, Kaj Krister K, Paarma KimiK, Maniac,
Milla Lehto, Mika Fabian, Nigel, Oded Peled, OlliS, Lionel Tiger, Oxid,
PiaV, Sachrias, Sam Kiiveri, Spoogy, Stefu, Zacce, Stelios Kirtselis,
Tin Tin, Tomoya Yamamoto, Simon London, Erkko amongst others.
In April 2004 Klabi was approached with his first residency offer at
The Player's Club. After a successful year playing for Player's which
saw his reputation steadily grow, Klabi joined the Helsinki Undeground
Collective in 2005 and gave up the residency at The Player's Club. At
the moment Klabi is a free agent operative of the Collective and one of
Finlands new and rising bigroom house djs. One to watch in the near
future.
