DJ. MARC HUGHES( Hughes and Spier )
Marc´s BIO:
In 1999 Ministry of Sound were so impressed with Marc’s progress, they offered him one of the most prestigious residencies in the world, Fridays at Pacha in Ibiza. A position previously held by Erick Morillo and CJ Mackintosh: a sure testament to Marc’s talent.

After dancing all night to one of Marc’s sets Danny Rampling was quoted as saying “It was one of the best sets I have heard in Ibiza for years” on his Radio 1 show. 2003 was Marc’s fourth year as resident at Pacha, Ibiza.

As well as Pacha, Marc has also held exclusive residencies at Ibiza’s other super club, Space on a Saturday morning for Ministry magazine.

In 2000, Marc also had the privilege of being asked to be the first ever tour resident for Ministry of Sound. A residency that has seen Marc becomes one of Ministry’s greatest exports.

Marc is also resident at Ministry of Sound in London where you can catch him rocking the crowd in the main room and the bar every month at one of the best house nights in the country.
Formed in 2003, Hughes & Spier (Marc Hughes & Justin Spier) landed on the house scene with an almighty bang with the release of their debut “War / Idiot Box”, which was also the first release for the new-born Elementary Group label. “War” attracted support from DJ’s like Erick Morillo, Tim Deluxe, Danny Rampling and Ben Watt who commented “this is so good I’m playing it twice a set!”.
The start of the 2004 saw the boys being personally asked by the “Audio Bullies” to remix their single “Snake”, as the AB’s were massive fans of Hughes & Spier’s sound. They also delivered a storming remix for The Scissor Sisters “Comfortably Numb” which registered a DMC Buzz Chart position of #1.

You can also hear Marc ruling the radio show on Ministry of Sound radio every first Tuesday of the month. Log on to www.ministryofsound.com to hear an archive set.
