Sven Väth is one of the world´s most legendary DJs and club scene figures, notorious for his long DJ-sets and blinding energy. With a career spanning over two decades, he´s gone a long way from his start in ´82 to defining trance in the early 90´s and presently creating a techno sound of his own.
Sven Väth is best known for what he accomplished during the 90´s. With Väth as the visionary director, the labels Harthouse and Eye Q produced countless landmark classics of electronic music and defined the European club sound of their time. Among the gems are Väth´s own best-selling concept albums Accident in Paradise and The Harlequin, The Robot and the Ballet Dancer, which were followed later by Fusion, Contact and Fire -albums.
Recently Sven Väth has been pushing quality sounds and refreshing the club life in Ibiza with his Cocoon Club at Amnesia. With Richie Hawtin as the second resident, the list of their guests is not unlike the Techno´s who´s who: Mills, Heil, Rachmad, Cox, Hell, F.E.O.S., Bondzio, Bug, Carola, Liebing, Villalobos, Acquaviva, Lekebusch, Beyer, Rush, Wink, Rother, Weatherall, Fixmer, Ho, Mayer. After numerous Cocoon events around Germany this year sees also the opening of a new Cocoon Club venue in Frankfurt.
Still at the top of his game, Väth´s current sound is an original mixture of modern club music, building from glitchy electronics to mindblowing techno with masterful skill.

LJs Tea & Severi, aka Calvin and Hobbes, have done light design as a duo
since 1995. Resident LJs at clubs such as Unity, Pussy Club at Hesperia
and Jack, and with a history of LJing at hundreds of underground and major
one off events in Finland, the duo has had the chance to work with most of
the household national and international DJs in the club scene. Sven Väth
is no stranger to Tea & Severi, as his gig on Tavastia the 19th May will
be the fourth one the duo has done lights for.The last time Sven Väths
music was accompanied by the duos lights was in June 2002, when Tea &
Severi were booked as LJs for Frequenz Berater in Hamburg, one of the MTV
Europe Club Tour events.
